There is an actual genocide going on in Sudan as we speak, I’ll happily join your protest. Oh, you, uh…. you’re washing your hair tomorrow?Oh well.

What’s the U.S. involvement in that one?

We’ll wait …

Deafening silence. #sad

C’mon - tell us how the U.S., our nation, the one we grew up believing was made up of “the good guys”, is complicit in this genocide in Darfur. You know, the one the U.S. Secretary of State has identified as a genocide, but the U.N. hasn’t …

After all, you played the Hasbara re-direction card like a pro. Certainly you were expecting anyone with a pulse to point out how pathetic it is to downplay a genocide being committed with U.S. dollars and weapons, and try to distract with a conflict that our U.S. tax dollars are NOT funding and that’s only labeled a genocide because our corrupt State Department has said it is …

Thanks for once again proving that the UN needs to be eliminated.

Blinken was the first to declare Sudan a genocide so I assume you are speaking about the Biden (leftover Obama) State Department.

The U.S. funds all wars whether it’s direct or indirect. Every decision we make has ripple effects around the world for decades and centuries to come. In the case of Sudan, UAE our great ally, is directly funding the bad guys.

You have determined that a country the size of New Jersey and a worldwide .2% of the population, surrounded by 20+ muslim countries with a world population over 1B, are committing the most hideous crimes against humanity possible. Regardless of Hamas’ charter, their go-pro videos of 10/7, the footage of the hostages in the tunnels, the footage of aid rotting in the sun because Hamas wants to starve its own people, Hamas shooting its own people, the UN funded schools with their “Kill Jews” nursery rhymes and martyrdom messaging, you believe that Israel is guilty.

Have you ever been to Israel?

Yes, Blinken - like Rubio, a stooge for Israel to helm State. His Jan. ‘25 designation that a genocide is being committed by RSF in Sudan was made when the world’s attention to the actual genocide in Gaza was reaching a fevered pitch … how coincidental?!

The actions of Hamas, no matter how despicable, do nothing to mitigate what Israel has done. Nothing. Not one thing. But I enjoyed a good laugh at the idea that you actually think their sins somehow justify the sins of Israel and the sins of Israelis. As usual, there is a treasure trove of documentary evidence that Israel does everything you accuse the Palestinians of 10x over.

Yes, enough times to be firm in my convictions. Have you been to Gaza, other than as a member of the IDF?

Tell me more about your time in Israel. Are you Muslim? Christian? I have never been to Gaza… after 2007 Jews were banned from going into Gaza. I can’t pray on the Temple Mount either, that’s reserved for Muslims to keep the peace with Jordan. Handing back Gaza after conquering that land in a war Israel never started and allowing Jordan to run security for Al Aqsa… two of many land for peace deals. Where is the peace?

Of course, my Palestinian cousins are able to enter Israel on work permits which they did on the daily before they decided to put Hamas’ charter into action.

Something tells me that I’m not talking to someone with any ties to the Middle East. Palestinians don’t give two flying effs about Blinken or Biden or anyone else. You’d be quoting various Surahs about the land and how it’s yours, how your grandma is still holding her keys to her apartment in Haifa and she dreams of returning and until you’ll forever have refugee status. I can empathize. I’ve seen lovely photos of my grandma’s apartment growing up in Baghdad and I remember her stories. Then, her parents were murdered during the Farhud and Israel was the only place she could go. It was the betrayal of her neighbors more than anything that stung throughout her life.

Well, at least you recognize that I have no dog in the fight - not Israeli, not Jewish, not Palestinian, not Muslim, not Arabic. Yes, my lens is crystal clear.

With your ties to Iraq, how can you comfortably point a finger at the Palestinians knowing your own kin, Ben Gvir, does all of what you accuse those Palestinians of - and worse?

We’ll have to agree to disagree about Israel’s role in the initiation of past wars and the land seizures that resulted from those conflicts (in flagrant violation of international law).

Bottom line - if we’re not seeking regional reform to ensure that people like your grandmother never have only one place to turn to for safe harbor, durable peace will never be attainable.

This represents what I'd regard as a talking point — a conveyance that may be rhetorically persuasive to some, but that carries no actual substance.
