The “moderates” are the reason we are here. If the Dems push the same old moderates out it shows they want the status quo.

No more hiring behind senate rules like the filibuster. Law and order need to be aggressively reestablished. Trump, his family, maga, corrupt judiciary, DOJ, etc must be punished.

As a dem, I do not support this. Enough with extremes. This county will go bipolar if we keep swinging far right and far left, it’s a terrible terrible idea. What we need is moderates on both sides.

lol you live is a fantasy world. There are no moderates on the Republican side. Disarming and throwing yourself on the none existent mercy of maga is a fools game. That is what you do when you vote for moderates. Remember how the democrats controlled the senate but were unable to even investigate SCOTUS’s corruption? That was moderates in action.

For democracy to work both sides must believe in it. The republicans do not believe in it. So go vote for Schumer, Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, etc. you will be putting the nail in your own coffin.

The moderate Biden approach failed. The country needs fighter not appeasers.

Joe lost the election because he lost his marbles, not because he is a moderate.

DP. A little of both. It’s clear that the name of the game is populism. He did nothing, perhaps because he wasn’t all there, and seeing Trump do so much really just underscores it.

Well, a puppet can do a lot with a vigorous hand in the right place, so, sure.

Disagree. The donor class is not happy with the tariffs and the stock market. Pharma isn’t happy with Kennedy’s selection. As quiet as it is kept the dems are very much beholden to rich interests. The things they put forward always have very little impact on corporate interests and are just hollow virtue signaling. Their immigration policy is pro business because cheap labor drives down wages. Any other meaningful change they didn’t even attempt under Biden because they didn’t have the votes (the excuse). No attempt at universal pre-k, no free childcare, no federal assault rifle ban, no expanding the size of the Court, nothing.

I don't believe real Democrats are on this forum. What do you mean Biden did nothing? He was far from my first choice, but he was much bolder than I expected him to be.

- He passed an infrastructure bill that Trump was unable to get passed his entire first term (and they tried really hard). His infrastructure bill had a lot of climate changes put into place.
- He got OTC birth control pills
- Gun violence prevention, which was huge for my generation that had to grow up doing active shooter drills.
- Open back up "Cancer Moonshot" for cancer research, the goal being cancer deaths being a thing of the past (which Trump dismantled)
- wiped out student loan debt for thousands of Americans

And that doesn't even touch the surface of it all.

I'm not saying he was sharp, I'm not even saying he was all there, but he had a staff that weren't a bunch of under-qualified yes-men clowns at least. Trump isn't all there AND his staff is a joke.

Most of us knew Biden wasn't fit enough to handle the POTUS job 24/7 so what did we do about it? We elected another elderly unfit person to serve a four year term into his 80s.

Stupid not fixed.

So never mention Reagan or the Bushes again, ok? Abd take back all your posts about Trump when Biden was president.

Harris wasn’t a moderate?

Not really no. She was tethered to Biden and his agenda and couldn’t distance herself from it, maybe she didn’t want too but most likely didn’t have the time to. There needs to be some fiscal conservatism, a recognition of realized tax burden, redefining middle class and wealthiest 1% to reflect todays prices and incomes and adjusting taxes accordingly, brining back tax benefits/capping interest and offering civil service to address student loans rather than forgiveness, incentives education in medical careers (nursing, doctors, techs etc. similar to military service) and reform healthcare (eliminate the middle man and standardize pricing) do away with special interest in politics, not allowing DEI and other “hot” topics to take center stage and distract from real issues. Take a firm stance on immigration, it doesn’t have to be tyrannical but show some fortitude in forcing people to adhere to our immigration laws. No one wants what we have now but they also don’t AOC and the thought of a socialist government.

Biden was a moderate. So was Harris. They were doing everything on your list (Biden was admittedly late to find the right balance on immigration). I have no idea what kind of “DEI” policies scared you so but they were never center stage for either.

Harris was voted the “most progressive member of the Senate” when she failed to get a single primary vote while running against Biden for the nomination.

It is laughably false to claim she is a “moderate.”

Harris capitulated to an elderly man with a poor memory. She didn't have the spine to stand on her own principles.

Harris is irrelevant. No one can blame her for accepting the offer of the VP position. She then did the best she could in a no-win situation after Biden collapsed last year. Biden, and those who supported his nomination in 2020, along with the 10s of millions of idiots who support Trump are to blame for the 2024 election nightmare.

Biden's one of the most successful presidents ever, and Democrats want nothing to do with him.
