What's your unpopular food opinion?

I don't get French tarts. They look really pretty, obviously, but the crust is just hard and dry?

There was once a pumpkin ice cream--not pumpkin pie, just pumpkin, with just a hint of the spices--that had come out in the stores where I shop for one Halloween to Christmas season. It was so, so good, but have never seen again. Don't recall the brand.

I agree that those are all overdone. don't even get me started at all the options that have chocolate AND PB. 🤮. Strawberry, fresh peach, black raspberry are the best. I'm sure we'd get even more choices if stores offered them to us and didn't fill the shelves with the lowest common denominator.

Those flavors aren’t widely offered because people don’t really like them. So your opinion is indeed unpopular.

Thank you! Glad to represent. *bows*

I think you may have just ruined wings for me....

Count me out, too.

I concur.

Oh, I love pumpkin ice cream! Also cinnamon, which is hard to find but really delicious.

Any Midwesterners remember Bill Knapps restaurants? They had cinnamon ice cream on their menu

I have never met anyone who prefers chocolate ice cream on her pie. I would say that is a very unpopular food opinion. I would love to tell her she is not alone. Anyone??

Your pie already has vanilla in it. You need more vanilla?

Who puts vanilla in fruit pie?

Talk about your unpopular opinions!

That’s why my former next door neighbor was fond of darkness. Her car had a “shrimps” decal.

How do you feel about a plate of shrimp?

I have never added vanilla flavoring to a fruit pie. That's just odd.

I guess this is unpopular: Americans are way too obsessed with "getting enough protein." Unless you are a very strict vegan, you are absolutely getting enough protein. And you don't need meat more than 1-2 times a week.

I think this is really person-dependent. I have been on almost all eating plans/diet plans out there since the early 2000s..south beach, Atkins, weight watchers, paleo, 21 day fix, vegetarian, pescatarian, Mediterranean.

While I know that atkins and the super meat heavy diets are not for me, when I was vegetarian I was ALWAYS hungry, despite being a well balanced vegetarian who ate beans and tofu and healthy fats and plenty of fiber rich fruits and vegetables. Even as a pescatarian, I felt desperately hungry sometimes even though I was eating enough.

I actually don’t love to eat meat and would be a happy vegetarian, except that I could never control my hunger. 1-2 servings of meat a week may be fine for you, but it isn’t for everyone.

I dislike rice and pasta. It’s not even a gluten are carb conscious thing. They just have zero taste and are so bland and I don’t like the texture.

Yes, they are bland. That's why you generally put some kind of seasonings/sauce on them.
The texture I can't help you with.
