As a PP said, we were also told that my DH shouldn't even get a traffic ticket while he was on conditional GC status!

And this scrutiny has been standard procedure for many years regardless of which party is in power.

Then as a green card holder, he should have due process just like anyone else. The president doesn't have the authority to just grab someone from their home and ship them off to a private prison in another jurisdiction without cause and without a warrant.
