DeMatha (0-1) vs. Severn
PVI (1-0) vs. Archbishop Spalding
St. Andrews Episcopal (MD) (0-0) vs. The Heights (MD) (1-0)

Neutral's Predictions:
Landon 10- Gilman 8
STA 12- Potomac 6
GZ 10 - McDonogh 9 (not a typo, I think the Eagles are better than people are giving them credit for)
Severn 11- DeMatha 8
Spalding 13 - PVI 7
SAE 10 - Heights 8

Enjoy this spring like weather today!

Actual
Gilman 6 at Landon 7 OT. Landon figures it out late and outscores G 4-1 to finish.
STA 13 Potomac 3. STA offense gets the ball a lot
GZ 5 at McDonogh 9. GZ in a tough follow up in Baltimore
Severn 8 Dematha 12. Dematha's a tough out
Spalding 16 at PVI 6. Spalding is very, very good

Yikes, PVI was killed by ten goals.

PVI didn't know what hit them. 11-2 at the half and Spalding was a running a clinic on them with quick ball and wide open attackman's on the crease.

Spalding is the real deal this year folks.

They are better than McDonogh and BL based on the film I’ve seen this year.

Upcoming Games

Wednesday
Bullis (4-0) at St Paul's (1-0). One of Bullis' toughest OOC games

Thursday
Loyola Blakefield (0-1) at Georgetown Prep (2-0). GP top 3 or lower. Good home matchup
Paul VI - VA - (1-0) at Christchurch - VA - (1-0). PVI needs a bounceback game
Ponte Vedra - FL - (9-1) at The Heights (1-0). A top 10 Florida team travels to the Heights.
Our Lady of Good Counsel (2-0) at St. Albans - DC - (1-2). Nice WCAC v IAC matchup.

Big one this afternoon up in Baltimore, Bullis travels up to St. Pauls.

Expect a high scoring contest as historically St. Pauls is not known for playing defense.

Bullis represents the DC area well and sneaks out a W with their firepower.

Bulldogs 12
Crusaders 9

Upcoming Games and Predictions

Wednesday
Bullis (4-0) +2 at St Paul's (1-0). SJC talented poles couldn't slow down STP. Bullis loses in Baltimore

Paul VI - VA - (1-0) -5 at Christchurch - VA - (1-0). PVI scores goals on Thursday
Ponte Vedra - FL - (9-1) at The Heights (1-0) -1. The most interesting matchup of the day
Our Lady of Good Counsel (2-0) -5 at St. Albans - DC - (1-2). Comfortable GC win

Next season looks to be good for GP; younger players getting critical playing time this season

Why next season? They are winning and have just as many college commits as any other program. GP reloads and never rebuilds.

I'm a GP alum. They aren't ready to compete with Bullis and Landon yet. Next year, yes.

This comment didn't age well. Looks like Landon may be the one not ready to compete yet. Prep beat Gilman 12-7, while Landon barely beat Gilman in OT. Looks like Prep should be above Landon in the rankings.

Gilman had several starting poles out for both games, wouldn’t read too much into either victory.

Is the flu worse this year or am I imagining it?

I'm not sold on Prep... Coaching is suspect on Rockville Pike.

Will be interesting to see how strong the Hoyas are come late April and May when the season is on the line.

I expect SJC to only win by 1/2 on Friday. The Fogo for Gilman will keep SJC on defense for a large majority of fo's.
