I saw them play and train. They are a fantastic group of boys, just like a great group of ladies for the 2011 age group. Very strong teams!

2011 VDA lost a few to DCU academy.

Yeah, they lost a few to DCU bench HAHAHA

You obviously don't know who the kids are because if you did you would know this simply isn't the case.

Furthermore, VDA lost them to DCU. Not to a trashier club. All the while PP’s club can’t lose players to DCU because they cannot produce players that would make it to DCU. Who laughs last laughs the best 😉

I do know the kids. I've seen them play and they are nothing special. DCU can't pick up players from any other MLS Next teams due to the P2P program so they will grab them from ECNL teams. Again, nothing special.

They’re far ahead of everyone. The starting 11 is one of the best in the USA.

BP will work his magic to poach. Make that sales pitch!

Like Arlington 12’s poached from Alexandria?

Hasn't seemed to help them very much so far

Is anyone on that team home grown?

That’s a question for Arlington.

They do have a couple of homegrown on 2012 and several on 2011.

Homegrown? You mean a good player happened to live near a club and joined at a young age? Please tell me you aren’t giving the club credit for a player being on a team, as if that same player wouldn’t be just as good if they had been with a different club. Players are good because they are good players not because of the uniform they happen to wear.

Only BP gets credit - not the player

Thats not true, plenty of MLS Next kids at DCU. SYC, Alexandria, Bethesda, Achilles, etc. I know SYC and Alexandria are P2P, not sure about the others.

So by your logic, there are no good clubs anywhere, just a bunch of good players that happened to be local to play for that club?

Alexandria and SYC are not in the list of P2P programs on the DCUA website. The website lists Loudoun Soccer, Arlington Soccer Association, Player Progression Academy, Virginia Development Academy, Pipeline Soccer Club. Regardless, it's not clear why a PP thinks that DCUA is only allowed to pick from P2P clubs.

The VDA 2009s will still easily win the league.

Mid-Atlantic Cup? Yeah - probably right there. Regular Season? Down to the last game with Richmond - winner (or tie from Richmond) takes the regular season. Long ways to January 25.

I think their website is outdated. If you care enough to look, I think one of their instagram posts from last year shows them there.

well I am not the PP and frankly, it I could not care less whether SYC and Alexandria are included bc my kids' club is a known P2P. I can't control their website.

They already won the MA Cup. League winner will be up but really what does it matter? Both teams will be in the post season, both will be able to compete where it matters.

Very true, both teams locked in. Other than some bragging rights, not a lot on the line. Lots of showcase games to be played too between now and June in San Diego.

Kinda hard to have already won the MA Cup when the four group winners play for the title on Feb 1/2 in Raleigh.

But you're correct, DCUA can pull from any club in its territory. I don't know why they even have a P2P program, most of the top clubs are in it anyways.
