That's the fear, IMO. This will lead to profiling, and fear, such that all brown looking people will feel the need to carry around their birth certificate or passport to prove that they are US citizens.

There are some Hispanics who support Trump, and it would be the height of irony for these people to get rounded up. It's like that restaurant owner in the midwest who voted for Trump, then her illegal immigrant husband who had lived here for over a decade got deported. People can carry their driver’s license, we all do daily.

First of all, no - we don't all carry our driver's licenses daily. I frequently go about life in my neighborhood without my wallet with me.
Second of all, your driver's license and birth certificate don't prove citizenship for people who were not born in the US. Do you want my kids to carry around their certificate of citizenship with them all the time? That piece of paper cost literally thousands of dollars and is extremely hard to replace. That's the problem when people who don't actually know anything about immigration spout off about immigration.
