Walk me through the logistics of mass deportations

Republicans won't pay for it - Which is why we have "catch and release" - and the right wing base is too dumb to figure that out.

The biggest issue is jobs. We need to have extremely large penalties issued to anyone who employs anyone who is in the country illegally. This has been widely agreed by poicy experts for years. Yet neither major party is willing to support it, since it is bad for business. If we did this, we would take away the primary incentive for illegal border crossings.

To answer your other question, having an American child is not a barrier to deportation. Thousands of immigrants with American children are getting deported every year. The anchor baby thing is a bunch of nonsense. Babies don’t anchor.

That's the biggest issue. It will cause a major labor shortage, will cause supply chain shortages in some areas like produce and meat, and will drive consumer prices up. A better solution would be to have a better worker visa program to help fill the need.

Sounds like a good idea but that takes money which will need to be appropriated by Congress. That will take a bipartisan bill and we see how that went the last time it was attempted.
