Thanks. |
I know a couple girls in the last few years that did not get an invite. But overall, I think most get accepted especially if they are coach-able and have skill. |
Any feedback on Coaches Tolaba or Santiago? |
I'd avoid both |
Thanks. Can you elaborate at all? |
My child played for Coach Fede (Santiago) and had a good experience. Don't know the other coach sorry. |
Same. We have been happy with both our boys' Herndon coaches. |
Can anyone give me feedback on the boys side.. I have one child who is a 2015 and another who is a 2012.. coaches? Teams? Anything will help..
We just moved to the are and are going to multiple club's tryouts |
The black team coach (first team) for 2012 boys is Coach Fede, we posted earlier that my son had an enjoyable experience on his team. I don't know the second team coach, Abdi. The third team coach Kevin coached a friend's son's 2010 team this last year and they liked him. |
Does anyone have insight into 2014 boys? Are the top team spots filled by now? Are most of the boys from that team returning or are there spots up for grabs? |
The black team coach for next year is an excellent coach. No idea about how many kids are returning sorry. |
There are currently 3 teams. They have started giving offers out. The weather and spring break timing wasn't ideal, try-outs are continuing this week. |
Perhaps returning players. |
Abdi has been coaching with HYS (not new). He is friendly and personable. No concerns. |
Thanks to all the current parents sharing feedback.
Is anyone familiar with the 2011 boys age group? At the second tryout yesterday based on all the Herndon practice jerseys it looked like there would be few if any open spots for new players on either of the teams. Will they move current players up or down or cut kids who have played on the red team for new players? Have they sent out any offers yet? His current team is toxic and ds needs a fresh start so just trying to gage the chances. The field he was on last night was almost all not wearing Herndon shirts which seemed like a bad indicator to me. |
