Isn’t Adams doing exactly what Abbott is doing by giving free plane rides to so-called asylum seekers a ticket to anywhere in the world??? I’m sure other countries won’t readily take just anyone (ahem, like Canada), so these people must be going to other states (unannounced), right?

Another point: Why WOULDN'T they come? They arrive in America, and they're met with the welcome mat. You may not be pleased to see them arrive, but nevertheless they are getting the royal treatment.

They're given free food, medical care, clothing, shelter once it's arranged, and so on.

These illegal aliens are given more than what Americans are getting from their government. Tax payers themselves, the children and grandchildren of tax paying Americans, they don't have free food, free medical care, free clothing, or free shelter. They're working two and three jobs just to pay for their food, clothing and shelter. They're doing without medical care because they can't afford it.

They are but aren’t getting as much press. Here is a press release from the governor of Arizona - a democrat - that was released a month ago:

Phoenix, AZ – One week after her letter to President Biden asking him to reassign the Arizona National Guard to re-open the Lukeville Port of Entry, Governor Katie Hobbs signed an Executive Order to carry out the next step in Operation SECURE, mobilizing the National Guard to southern Arizona. There, they will assist the Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement agencies with enforcement activities, including fentanyl interdiction, analytical support, and human trafficking enforcement efforts.

“Yet again, the federal government is refusing to do its job to secure our border and keep our communities safe,” said Governor Katie Hobbs. “With this Executive Order, I am taking action where the federal government won’t. But we can’t stand alone, Arizona needs resources and manpower to reopen the Lukeville crossing, manage the flow of migrants, and maintain a secure, orderly and humane border. Despite continued requests for assistance, the Biden administration has refused to deliver desperately needed resources to Arizona’s border.”

The National Guard members will be stationed at multiple locations along the southern border, including near both the Lukeville Port of Entry and the San Miguel crossing.

Additionally, the Biden administration has failed to respond to Governor Hobbs’ request for reimbursement for border security spending.

There has to be a more humane and efficient system to regulate illegal immigration. There is zero argument against that.

However, by now, sanctuary cities and states supporting illegal immigration should always be ready to accept more migrants sent from states against it.

They can't protest against Abbot not giving you advance notice. He is very transparent about his stance on this issue. Its an everyday problem not one off event.

Instead of holding Abbot responsible for facing consequences of policies he doesn't support, take responsibility and make arrangements.

I went to the emergency room on Friday and have a $2000 bill (and that is with my Obamacare policy). Why do illegals get all of this free stuff? The PP also forgot to mention free educations for illegals.

Why is this on Governor Abbot? It is on Biden and his failed deportation and failed immigration policies. We've never had these issues until Biden took office.

My family assisted an illegal alien who was in an airport Dec 27, 2022 in a border state with Canada. The illegal was making his way to Canada to a city that had an evangelical community that would help the illegal. CANADA WOULD NOT LET THE ILLEGAL CROSS. He was trapped in 5 degree weather in the US.

Canada is not playing.

I can solve the border crisis tomorrow.

The problem is the asylum seekers, almost none of them are actually eligible for asylum.

1. What country are you from? Lets assume its not Mexico.
2. Since they are traveling through Mexico, they need to apply for asylum in Mexico, as it is a safe third country. Safer than the U.S. in most respects.
3 If they applied for asylum in Mexico, deport back to Mexico City to await their asylum hearing.
4 If not immediately fly back to original country, where they can apply for a visa to immigrate to the US legally, which they will never get.

Once you do this all the other immigrants will stop coming.

The U.S. is not responsible for the rest of the worlds problems.

Why do you keep saying "they have to accept?" That is not what sanctuary city means. Yet it keeps being repeated over and over. It seems the entire GOP strategy is based on a fundamental misunderstanding and misrepresentation.
