What would this Russian propaganda be exactly?

Ukrainian was generally regarded as the most corrupt country in Europe before tanks rolled in. That's not Russian propaganda.

Accusations about specific yachts might be, but in reality we know Zelensky is more into blow than yachts these days.

10:39, you asked where would this propaganda be exactly and here’s your answer. Right here on this page and Republicans can’t help themselves from repeating it.

No, no, no. This is ethically sourced, domestically produced, luxury propaganda. Russian propaganda usually doesn't translate well here. Its either too subtle or too brutal. Trust me, I wouldn't be producing propaganda that complies with all OSHA and EPA regulations if I could just get the good stuff cheap from overseas.

In the dim recesses of my mind that remembers parts of 2016, I seem to recall that there were hundreds to thousands working on the propaganda in Russia. Some of it was disseminated via Facebook (with Facebook’s happy cooperation!) and some via Fox, but it was all very, very finely crafted. Sometimes a purposely blunt instrument and sometimes a little time bomb that took some time to go off.

The GOP wants to help Putin and undercutting Ukraine does that handily. https://www.newsweek.com/republican-infected-russian-propaganda-michael-mccaul-ukraine-aid-package-1886742

And Republican voters don’t think, they just follow orders. It doesn’t matter to them if Ukraine gets totally occupied and Russia chooses for its next target a NATO nation…

So as an example of Republicans repeating Russian propaganda, you cite an obscure story in Britain that no Republican repeated or probably even heard of. Further, that story may be tangentially coming from Russia, but may be coming from a Youtuber instead?

Do you people have an actual good example?

How about his own website which proudly has the whole interview conducted by one Steve Bannon? My apologies to all sane people, i.e. Democrats, because in addition to telling the whopper about Ukraine and yachts also tells another whopper about Social Security.

“We’re going to be asked to rebuild their entire country. That’s after funding another $100 or $200 billion in military conflict. There’s $300 billion on top of that to rebuild the country and then we’ve got to pay for their pensioners. We’re getting easily half a trillion dollars in the hole for the Ukraine conflict by the time this is done, and Steve, at the very same time, you have people in this town saying we need to cut Social Security. There are people who would cut Social Security, throw our grandparents into poverty. Why? So that one of the Zelensky’s ministers can buy a bigger yacht? Kiss my ass, Steve, it’s not happening.”

We do pay for Ukraine's civil service, including pensions. There are people who want to cut Social Security in DC. People like Paul Ryan have advocated both of those positions at one point or another. Is linking the two the work of "Russia" or just Vance spouting off?

At the end of the day, he doesn't think Ukraine is worth $500B+ dollars of US money. You can reach that conclusion without one bit of being Pro-Russia.

Further, per their own disclosures, many Ukrainian officials have experienced quite the growth in wealth since the start of the conflict: https://www.rt.com/russia/595466-ukrainian-officials-wealth-increases/

The Russian connections are pretty tenuous here. Anyone without blinders on can come to these conclusions.

The yacht story, and the Highgrove story, and the Cartier story, are all literally made up by a Russian propaganda machine to tell Ukraine’s allies a lie that Ukraine is wasting their aid money. In reality none of that is happening, but there are stupid Republicans, particularly Greene and Vance, regurgitating literal Russian propaganda to influence votes on Ukraine aid while the Ukrainian front lines fall apart. Is that enough of a picture for you?

We're not at war with Russia bro. Ukraine isn't even our ally, so they are not entitled to our money.

Nobody actually wants to send another $60B to Ukraine, but not everyone wants to be on record saying no. That's why the Speaker is sitting on the bill. The truth is that we just don't have enough weapons sitting around anymore that we can send them to Ukraine without cutting into our own readiness. So the Speaker gets to be the bad-guy while everyone breathes a sigh of relief.

The list goes on. Pretty much all the stupid stuff the GOP over-outrages and lies about on a daily basis in coordination with Fox and the AM radio hosts.

Still happening.

“The absurd and false claim that Zelenskyy bought a Royal mansion provides fascinating look at the Internet Research Agency's (IRA) as it exists in 2024.”

So as an example of Republicans repeating Russian propaganda, you cite an obscure story in Britain that no Republican repeated or probably even heard of. Further, that story may be tangentially coming from Russia, but may be coming from a Youtuber instead?

Do you people have an actual good example?

Yes dear, welcome to the thread, maybe read it before commenting?

I don’t think they liked your answer. Or anticipated that you would have an example.

I don't like the answer because its a screenshot and not even a tweet, which is pretty lame. Further, its a screenshot of JD Vance saying some nonsense without any reference to Russia. Who are even the "people" that Vance is referencing?

[…]

How about his own website which proudly has the whole interview conducted by one Steve Bannon? My apologies to all sane people, i.e. Democrats, because in addition to telling the whopper about Ukraine and yachts also tells another whopper about Social Security.

“There are people who would cut Social Security, throw our grandparents into poverty. Why? So that one of the Zelensky’s ministers can buy a bigger yacht? Kiss my ass, Steve, it’s not happening.” https://www.vance.senate.gov/press-releases/icymi-senator-vance-joins-steve-bannon-to-discuss-ukraine-war-border-funding/

Full quote: "Senator Vance on domestic damage of endless Ukraine funding:

If you want a smoking gun of foreign interference, you need something like this:

It's very helpful that you included such a trusted source as Russia Today in your diatribe. Tell me again how Republicans aren't acting as treasonous agents for Russia. Please. All ears.

All anyone asks is that Mike Johnson bring the bill to the floor so that the American people's representatives can vote. That's it. It's not complicated. But Republican collusion with Russia is so strong that they there are actively undermining the course of democracy in this country. Pathetic.

1) Russia has been attacking our elections for years
2) Russia has been attacking Americans (Havana Syndrome)
3) We don't send Ukraine money.
4) The money appropriated is in the form of arms that use up our expiring stock that we would need to replace anyhow, so it is really going to the US GDP
5) The Speaker is a Russian compromised hack: https://www.newsweek.com/house-speaker-mike-johnson-donations-russia-butina-1838501
