Nope. Everyone does not know this. Apparently the host also can’t get her sh¡t together and have the party ready BY THE ARRIVAL TIME SHE WROTE ON HER INVITE.

What! I host often also -- dinner parties, book club meetings, larger parties not necessarily at a meal time. Someone always shows up exactly on time, and I'm always totally delighted with them.

And yes, I would say most people trickle in 10-30 minutes later.
