How does a judge like Cannon get a case like this? She's inexperienced and has already shown she doesn't know the law by her prior rulings. Can the prosecution request a different judge? Doesn't the judge need security clearances? Is a case like this a jury trial?

These weren't the only classified docs. Why are these the ones that are charging him on?

They have to walk a fine line. The documents they use will be disclosed to some people in some form— including a jury down the line (even if partially redacted). These are the least damaging docs that the IC signed off on releasing and declassifying. For some documents, national security prevents them from referencing them— let alone releasing them.

The court uses a random assignment wheel, which is probably how she got it.

And yes, he is entitled to a jury trial. The judge and the jury don't need to get security clearances.
