PP here.I am just stating a fact. I was surprised as well . I’m mentioning Gonzaga as a comparison. Just look at their college matriculations this year. Several non athlete recruits going to Ivies and top 20 schools this year vs. barely any at Prep ( International students aside).

How do you know which are recruits? Do you have some list you are maniaclly checking?

Gonzaga lists the sport under the kids name on their Instagram page …the official one someone cited above.

Because Ole Miss is a much easier admit than some of the other big southern schools. Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and now Clemson have become progressively more selective, so students looking for the big southern college experience but who aren't as strong academically are now looking at Alabama/Auburn/Ole Miss.

Well those Gonzaga Ivy admits are all legacy kids. (the Harvard, Cornell x 2, Princeton),
Maybe the Prep parents did not attend the Ivies.

Even if true, there are plenty of other very impressive admits that are neither legacy nor athletic. Gonzaga seems to have more room for the ordinary smart nerd. Love that my smart theater kid got into his first choice top 20 with no hooks.

It's true. Why are people so nuts with defending schools' college admits. These kids are legacy. Period.
I'm sure they're still brilliant and great. But they got into Harvard and Princeton from Gonzaga because their parents went there.

This legacy crap is such a weak cop out. My parents didn’t go to college and neither did my husband’s and we both went to Princeton and then to Yale Law. Totally unhooked. But guess what, our kids are really smart and we are very capable of giving them every opportunity to do well. Their “legacy” from us is a really, really strong foundation.

Law is different. Yale law is all about perfect LSAT. Hooks don't help.

Yes, but this poster is writing on DCUM, presumably to parents who live in DC. The fact that Prep can get their 20 Asian borders into top 20 schools really has no relevance to any of us.
