Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s Picture-Perfect Life

Here’s a NYT profile of a mom who wrote a book that I actually care about (granted, it’s quite a few years old at this point, but you can see the stark contrast in the pieces)

Nope, none of us need her advice, that's what we are mocking.

Pretty can be made with enough money.
Skinny can be made with enough money.
Rich = money.
Married= is it really a good deal unless you have money?
Kids= made way easier with money
Devout= I personally believe religious indoctrination-especially evangelical- is the main source of evil in this world so nope not interested in her opinions

That fact that she thinks she has something original to say when her entire existence is because of mommy and daddy money.....she is just a snake-oil columnist.

Judging by the photo posted, pretty cannot he made with enough money.

PP that posted the photo - I posted it because I actually think she IS pretty and I've seen a lot of photos of her looking much better. I feel like this photo was another dig at her.

She’s classically gorgeous. And it’s obvious the bitter hags in this thread are jealous of that fact, along with her rich husband, beautiful children, and her commitment to her faith.

Gorgeous? Come on now. She's blandly pleasant looking and cute at best in a very dime a dozen way. She's not turning heads on the street.

And you are? You’re all seething in this thread because you’re jealous of everything she has and everything she represents. Because she didn’t go to college for 8 years and get an pointless frequent flier email job like y’all, and in the end she bagged a filthy rich husband and has a gorgeous all-American family. It stings.

I think the only person envious of her is you. All the rest of us are unimpressed.

If she and Chris and two adorable kids walk into a random suburban restaurant heads will turn. They’re a very attractive family. People have eyes.

No. They are normal looking white people.

+1 They are both on the attractive side of normal because they're height/weight proportionate, have even features, teeth that came from orthodontia, etc. He's edged toward hot as he got into Marvel shape. But the idea that she's "classically gorgeous" or that heads would turn if they walked into a restaurant with their kids is just fanfic.

I get why her whole persona (nepo baby/fake religious/social climber+anchorer) bothers people but I still thought the profile was kind of harsh. Funny to read, but she must be wondering what she did to piss the writer off.

Fake religious? What are you talking about? You people are so jealous it's hilarious.

Someone raised Catholic who goes on to baptize her children in the Catholic faith was only hanging around Hillsong because it was a see-and-be-seen scene. And she met a big star there and married him, so it worked. But she was not attending due to religious conviction. People bringing up Hillsong to prove she's Christian don't understand Catholicism or Evangelicalism.

There's nothing "fake religious" about briefly attending another church. You sound unhinged. Seek help.

DP. You clearly don’t know anything about evangelical Christianity. They literally view the veneration of the Virgin Mary as borderline demonic and do not consider most Catholics Christian.

No we don't. Get a life.

I find it fascinating how badly Chris Pratt blew it. He played this adorable sort of character on Parks and rec. All he had to do in real life is be a little bit clever and very self-deprecating. He just doesn't have the personality or emotional intelligence.

I'm not a fan but it's a stretch to say he blew it. He went from comic relief on Parks & Rec to bona fide movie star. He's tacked right but nobody ever went broke underestimating the American Right, so he'll be fine. All he has to do is say "woke" in a disgusted voice in one interview a year and they'll fling themselves in front of any criticism of him and insist his second wife is classically gorgeous and the pinnacle of perfect femininity (and in fact: if you think she looks like Anna Kendrick that was ordered off Wish you are an anti-Christian bigot!).

Looks like a teenager sitting on the lap of her older pervy uncle!!🤮

She looks younger than her age, with two babies no less, because she's naturally pretty and has led a clean life. I get the ridicule of nepo babies who are hard partiers and layabouts and jerks. But there's nothing about this young lady in the public domain that suggests she's a bad person.

He will do it when the kids are a bit older, but needs to do it while his wife is still pretty and youthful.

The big question is where he runs. He could easily win the GOP nomination for Governor in California, but the demographics have changed a lot since Arnold won. Lots of white voters have left the state, particularly retiring Boomers. The state has lurched leftward. He needs a convincing win to have a political future.

She is sooooo ready to play the politician’s wife.

This was my exact thought. But why? He doesn’t seem very bright.

I actually think she looks young for her age because we're so accustomed to seeing women in the public eye having had work done by their thirties. The light hand with makeup and styling plus keeping her regular human face with no plumped lips or fake eyelashes or big fake tits reads as youthful because nearly every adult woman on TV gets that stuff done now. It's like watching a British TV show and everyone looks bizarrely like people instead of actors - big noses, crooked teeth, no hair extensions. It's striking and makes you realize how accustomed to the other you've become.

That said, I think she looks good for 33. I don't think she looks like a teenager, and I don't think she looks necessarily better at 33 than 33 year olds I know IRL, including those who drink and skip Mass.

He blew it. He got fooled into thinking there is a "heaven".

I don’t think he blew it after Parks and Rec, he was able to successfully change from comedy to more serious roles instead of being typecast as this one dimensional character. I still like Chris 😀. I feel he has a weird sense of humor and just always say the wrong thing.
