That was my thought, too. She seems a bit dim. But she’s rich and thin so she’ll be fine. |
I think it is unfair criticism because so many people post only the very best and nicest on social media. What are people looking for? Pictures of a messy house or crying kids?
I don’t know if she’s had a perfect life, but maybe she is one of the lucky people who have had a really happy life. |
No one's life is perfect. What a seventh grade mentality. Do you still dream about becoming Debbie Gibson or Tiffany? |
This is a pretty embarrassing look for the Times. Seems more like a People puff piece. |
Chris Pratt seems like the type of man incapable of being a good partner. But I guess if you’re rich and evangelical that doesn’t ultimately matter. |
Ugh, that was cheesy. But yes, I saw the subtext of the writer thinking it was all very fake and "practiced." |
Hahaha, her life is NOT perfect. |
Great article! Lots of subtle put downs like The Cut article about Meghan Markle.
Lo And behold Maintains her life is perfect A picture of her as a child on the red carpet with her parents juxtaposed with her quote on how great her parents were for not putting them out in public and parading around red carpets as children |
You are my age PP, love the pop culture references ![]() |
Who wants to place bets on what year Chris Pratt goes into politics? |
+1. This is exactly what threw me. Where was the substance? This seemed like a people magazine article for sure. Are we supposed to take her seriously as an author or be impressed that she’s wealthy because she is a nepo baby born to a famous actor and a nepo baby, who’s now married to a famous actor? Also how can she go on bragging about having a perfect childhood when her father secretly had a child with another woman? When her mother has opened up about how invisible she felt during the same marriage? This piece gave me vibes of “journalist had to write it because Katherine is well connected, but couldn’t help mocking her arrogance.” |
Why is this a story? So weird. She’s a little gross but there’s no news hook here. |
It’s the Style section, which is not exactly a bastion of hard news. Agree with PP that the writer’s barely disguised snark made for a pretty entertaining read! |
I guess, I mean her sanctimonious persona is sort of interesting and it does give you the feeling of the other shoe hanging, so maybe that’s what they were going for? Just kind of giving her space to present herself so we can all feel icky? But idk about it. She’s weird, it’s weird, idk what to think. I was happier not knowing this much about her. |
