I have no idea. Just replying to the PP's contention that clean livin' should get the credit. |
If she feels her life is perfect and she had the perfect childhood who are we to say otherwise? |
Anyone who knows her family’s dirty laundry? |
She’s either a white wine girl or an antidepressant girl. |
Objectively, her life isn’t perfect. Dad cheated on mom. Half brother she ignores (?). Navigating being a step mom. Husband has made several public missteps. But I agree with you - maybe it’s toxic positivity, maybe it’s her faith, or maybe she’s just a really healthy, happy individual who can deal with the imperfections of life. Either way, if she’s happy and feels her life is perfect, good for her. |
Yes, good for her! Absolutely. The goal in life is being content. But I don’t see why there’s an article in the NYT about a woman who’s content because she was born wealthy and famous and married wealthy and famous. How is that breaking news at 11? |
Why? Ego. I guarantee he’s being courted by GOP operatives/fundraisers who are telling him they will clear the decks for him in case he decides to run in California. The most difficult problem to overcome in politics is name recognition. That’s why Matt Gaetz and MGT get up to those public antics. |
“Among concerns Evangelicals have about Roman Catholics: the extent of papal authority that calls into question the authority of Scripture; prayers to saints and Mary’s role as an “intercessor to Christ”; a stress on faith and good works that challenges Evangelical understanding of faith alone as justifying” https://www.catholicregister.org/faith/item/30102-catholics-through-evangelical-eyes I’ll get a life when you get a rudimentary understanding of Protestant theology. |
Clean life? She literally looks exactly like her brother who dated Miley Cyrus. |
I don’t see that working for him. He has no charisma, a weird background including when he was a stripper, and perhaps worst of all donated to Obama in 2012! |
This. Reading it makes me think a bit about Maria Shriver and how she, of course, is also a nepo baby who got a huge leg up in life. But I actually have found her a compelling speaker in the past (I haven't thought about her for years) and she did have a fairly successful career in broadcast journalism that I think was earned to the degree that she was good at it. Obviously she got her start because of her name and connections, but she has a real presence on camera, is smart and insightful when she speaks, and also has the aesthetics of television news and commentary down (her voice is well suited for it but I would bet you anything she also worked at that). So I can imagine reading a profile of a 33-year-old Maria Shriver and thinking "huh, she's lucky in a lot of ways but still an interesting person." I wouldn't sit there thinking "why does this profile exist, why am I being asked to think or look at this person?" She had a real career in her own right and it always seemed like she had something to say that was worth at least hearing out. That is not the impression I get from Katherine at all. She just seems empty. Nothing she says means anything. I can't think of a single quote or anecdote from this profile that would stick with me, except maybe the image of her standing in her house holding a child on one hip will eating gourmet crackers with the other. Which is not a particularly impressive takeaway for someone who is theoretically promoting a book. |
I used to love him and was happy when his career began to blossom. Around the time that Anna had their son their was an article that put me off of him forever. From what I recall they knew there were issues with the pregnancy and a lot of the article was about him making deals with god that the baby would be ok. He was extreme and seemed obsessed. It wasn't normal and he seemed to blame Anna for the problems. I dealt with similar issues in my pregnancy and hated his comments. I believe in the same article he admitted that he was stockpiling guns which of course freaked out Ana. He discussed it as concern for his family after having a child. I didn't buy that at all. I didn't know anything about qanon and their crazy beliefs but he clearly was following something like q crap and seemed to think the end times were a'comin. The impression I walked away with was he really upset at not having a normal child, blamed his wife for those issues, believes crazy q type stuff, and is as dumb as a box of rocks. He may actually be dumber than that. I felt so sorry for Anna and never liked him again. Also, dummy me. I didn't realize that was Anna Faris in the garden of eden superbowl ad. |
It's hilarious that you have to mention she's skinny. She's only useful as a vessel for him and she must be skinny and pretty, right? Nothing else matters when it comes to women. Btw he's DUMBBBBB. And believes crazy things. There is nothing hot about that. |
I'm not sure you know what any of these words mean. |
“I know this sounds crazy, but I really would love to just do exactly what they did,” she said of her parents.
She's delusional. So she also wants her husband to sleep with the cleaning lady and have a secret love child? |
