Will the GOP stop whining about CRT, transgender people, wokeism, and covid moms?

Oh, yes you say?

Then we will continue to whine while more and more social changes occur in a leftwards direction.

Accepting gay and trans people and allowing them to live their lives is basic human decency.

Somebody doesn't get the joke.

Whining and complaining doesn't stop the leftwards social drift.

When it comes to children, someone needs to advocate for them.
Democrats sure as hell aren't.

Who's trying to do something about school shootings? In 2022, nearly 44,000 children experienced a school shooting... but drags?

Like many if not most people I don't have issues with letting trans people live the gender they prefer, but I do have real issues with the sudden revisionist of biology to pretend that people can be born the wrong gender, or that gender is on a spectrum and that there are more than two genders, and renaming pregnant mothers pregnant people. I don't think trans people have an automatic right to access spaces normally preserved for the opposite gender.

Wokeism has real problems because so much of it is not grounded in common reality but abstract ideas and theories. And the big push for DEI is counterproductive and quite often harmful, such as removing advanced classes in schools and imposing a one size fits all policy on a diverse population with diverse capabilities.

Ultimately, these are all policies, not natural rights. As such they will always be heavily political. Telling people to shut up and go away is denying people their political voice. Everyone has the right to voice concerns, on both sides. But it also doesn't mean everyone can get what they want.

My wish for Republicans like you is that someday you wake up and understand you talk like a windup toy, spitting out the GOP policies and beliefs du jour; basically speaking in a garbled series of partisan non sequiturs.

+1 - the Libertarian and conservative "keep the government off our backs" wing of the GOP should be all for letting people live their lives. However, the GOP has been hijacked by the MAGAs and Evangelicals and brains poisoned by Fox "News" so here we are.

Says the person who is perfectly fine with over 6,000 kids being killed by guns last year.

You are missing the point. People want to just live their lives and a bunch of snowflake Evangelicals don't want to let them. Hence the "whining and complaining" - to secure the same rights for those humans as everyone else. It is the right that is making a big deal out of it.

People growing up "mis-sexed" has been a thing for as long as humans have been around. We understand more about the science and psychology of it now then we did 500 years ago. Developing policy to conform to our scientific understanding is supposed to be how a society evolves. For some reason, the right is opposed to it, just like they seem to be opposed to all science these days.

Actually it is natural rights.

If someone is feeling disrespected or discriminated against because of their skin color, that isn't "woke" - that is bigotry.
If someone is feeling displaced because they inherently feel they were born the wrong sex and want to address it through science, then what is it to you? Let them do it.

You lost me when you suggest that you can "let them" do anything. You think that's your right? Interesting.

Ultimately that's what this is all about. It's controlling trans people's bodily autonomy. They've looked at how they controlled women's bodies with forced birth laws slowly moving the line forward until completely eliminating the right in some places and are applying those tactics to transgender men/women/people. They literally believe they can decide what someone else can do with their own body. It's a bodily autonomy issue. They are starting kids because there's only a few thousand kids on blockers and maybe ten thousand or so on HRT in the whole country and they can call it "protecting children". Most of the bans are up to 18 but you often see calls for 21 or even 26 with the claim that's when they're fully an adult. I don't necessarily disagree with the fact that people between 18 and 26 are sort of proto-adults but 26 isn't the age of consent. They just want to push it out as far as possible to make it as difficult as possible to transition with the ultimate goal of completely banning it for everyone everywhere in the country.

Democrats are targeting gifted and talented programs, in a misguided effort to “close the achievement gap from the top down.”

In NYC, they literally ended the whole program.

In FFX schools, they are ending the AAP program, and implementing equity “E3 math” instead.

In Virginia, they tried to end all advanced math in HS through the VMPI scheme (which was put on hold by Youngkin).

Meanwhile, they lied about CRT-like, and CRT being taught in many Virginia schools. The discredited 1619 Project is one notorious example.

It sounds like you'd be a lot happier in Montgomery County. Time to move!
