Insurrection Hearings 6/9-6/23

I think what I find most upsetting and disturbing was that GOP leadership was more than happy to sacrifice lives for a political win.

Did you not know that before. It's part of the Stewart Rhodes indictment. A group was waiting at the Comfort Inn in Arlington. He purchased $10k worth of weapons himself in the two weeks leading up to 1-6-21. On social media he put out a call for patriots with small boats to come to Arlington.

The Proud Boys and Oath Keepers marched to the Capitol long before Trump finished speaking. To breech the outer fences. Watch the 40 minute video. It seems like an extension of tonight's video.

There are photos of the QRF militia groups staging with their pickup trucks at the Marine Corps Memorial on the afternoon of 1/6. It’s a 10 minute drive to the Capitol.

Of whom? What charge?

Just because something is awful and outrageous doesn't mean it's criminal.

Seditious conspiracy to obstruct.

A: He believed that Matt was not looking at the prospect of legal challenges going our way and that Matt was looking at purely from what those numbers were showing as opposed to broader things to include legality and election integrity…

3/ …issues which, as a data guy, he may not have been monitoring.

Miller is saying the video was deceptively edited

The legal challenges that were so frivolous that Giuliani lost his license?

Miller, grow up. You done wrong. Don't be an idiot on top of everything else.

Trump relying on syphilitic conspiracy theories about Dominion Voting Systems posited by Jenna Ellis and Sydney Powell isn’t really a winning response.

This was well-presented and at times riveting.

Sadly, I don't think it's going to influence public opinion much. The left will continue to believe that there was a coup, the right will continue to believe that it was not big deal, and the mid-terms will be decided on inflation, notably gas prices.

PP you replied to. I think most of us would have stood by, doing nothing. The wealthiest and most daring among us would have escaped from Germany. This is what Russians are doing right now. This is what most humans are programmed to do.

Bleak as F. But agree w/ you.

However, America is still somehow doing better than most - like there are majority of us - a substantial one - who voted for Biden over Trump. The majority of us tried to rid ourselves of that. We turned every elected federal branch blue.

But the American nazi party isn’t going anywhere. And there are a disgusting # of them.

America is saddled with the Electoral College, corruption tied to dark money and gerrymandered voting districts. John Roberts and Clarence Thomas gutted the Voting Rights Act and upheld unlimited political donations. We now see why.

No need to move the goalposts. We have seen some of the messages between Ginny Thomas and Mark Meadows. The wife of a sitting justice attended the 1/6 rally at the Ellipse and was in direct communication with the WH Chief of Staff. She is tied to a number of astroturf groups promoting the Big Lie.

There were guns at the Capitol and nearby. There were pipe bombs. There were Molotov cocktails.

The Conways and the Trumps really belong together

Nobody cares about the Conways.

They sacrificed the lives of the employees sworn to protect them. How would you feel if your boss did that to you?

What does that mean? When the Benghazi hearings were going on did the channels give equal time for Obama and Clinton (not that they had to) to issue rebuttals?

If they had Trump on criminal charges he’d be in jail. They would not have to spend the people’s money on this week long tv extravaganza

I think PP is referring to the Fairness Doctrine, which was repealed during the Regan administration and gave us FoxNews.
