+1 that’s why I’m sick of all the stupid inflation threads. Inflation is real but right wing businesses are purposefully making it worse to make the Democrats look bad. It’s the new wedge issue and people are falling for it just as stupidly as they did with the caravans and CRT, and right wing media like MSNBC, CNN, CBS and all the rest are happily wedging us apart. Trump and the GOP set a million fires and left about as many unexplored bombs. Biden and Harris and the Democrats are trying to deal with that while the GOP further destroys what they can. If the GOP wins in 2022 and 2024, we are done. I have no idea what “done” looks like, but it’s not going to be pretty. Stop falling for the wedge issues. Focus on the GOP’s sedition (and treason. Somehow, their treason has been forgiven). |

So is Kinzinger, and former Rep. Denver Riggleman who is a top committee staffer. Pelosi tossed only two of the Rs that McCarthy suggested, because they were accomplices, but accepted his other three. Then he pulled those three and told his caucus that no one was allowed to join and punished Cheney and Kinzinger for signing up anyway. It’s entirely the GOP’s fault that they’re not better represented. |

There were a variety of factions with differing — and possibly aligned or even competing —interests. My expectation is that the hearings will bring into focus an overarching conspiracy to delay certification of the results for days, if not weeks, during which time state legislatures controlled by antidemocratic Trumpists would put forward “alternate” slates of electors to be used as a pretense to overturning the election after the legal challenges were rejected. This was the goal that the Rafael Cruzes, Mike Lees, John Eastmans, Cleta Mitchell’s and Peter Navarros were working towards in conjunction with state legislators. Grassley gave away the game. He is on record making the statement that he expected to preside over the Senate, and not Pence, on 1/6. It’s the reason for the objections to the electors that were raised in Congress by those opposed to democratic elections as the vote tabulation started. Stall the process with the expectation that the Proud Boys, Oathkeepers, Praetorians and other groups could occupy and shut down the Capitol, with the possibility of a declaration of martial law. Roger Stone was one the critical go betweens. But things quickly got out of hand and McCarthy freaked out when he realized that people — and likely Members of Congress — would be killed. The rest of the crazy was background noise in terms of the rantings of the likes of the Pillow Guy and Mike Flynn used to mobilize the UltraMAGA cultists, Q conspiracists, Antivaxxers and those with a propensity for violence. They were manipulated to make it seem if there was some vast movement, even though to a unnerving extent a third of the country brlueves the Big Lie. But Pence and Milley weren’t having it. Pence was acting as the de facto commander-in-chief in pushing the Pentagon to deploy the DCNG after hours of inexplicable delay laid at the feet of the brother of Mike Flynn. Kevin McCarthy We now see these seem antidemocratic forces working to diesel control of local election boards and Secretary of State offices to do accomplish the same result. |

Nice try. Trump is not gone. He’s still doing rallies. There’s a better than 50/59 chance he seeks in nomination in 2024, and would win. He has a vast political warchest. Candidate still seek his endorsement. The Big Lie continues to be parroted on Fox. Trump is a clear and present danger. |
