16 pounds in three weeks!

Yep. Insanity!!

I love how the epitome of a curvy woman, MM, still was at least 16lbs lighter

Yep. I always get pissed when people refer to Marilyn as 'large' or 'fat'. She was so much smaller than women today. And a size 10-12 in the 50s is like a size 4 today.

Kim is tiny--like 5'1". 16 pounds is a helluva lot of weight to lose on a small frame. I'm 5'4" and curvy/athletic/muscular and when I lost 10 pounds people told me I looked anorexic/too skinny.

I bet a good 10 pounds of the weight loss was the removal of her BBL. There's no way she could have fit into MM's dress otherwise.

The hair is clearly a nod to Marilyn. I mean you are trash talking one of the most famous dresses of all time calling it a blah dress. It isn't always about looking great (although I think she does honestly and think the only people who don't think that just hate her on principal) but about getting your references down. Going platinum blonde is getting your reference down.

No. PP said that the MM dress looks blah on Kim, and it does.
You must be joking about going platinum blonde, because that "reference" is really weak and doesn't translate.

Overall, it's a pretentious attempt with an underwhelming result and a huge stretch in following the theme.

The reference of dying your hair platinum blonde while referencing marilyn monroe is a weak reference?????? What? The woman is a FAMOUS platinum blonde? I feel like you all are stretching. Dying ones hair platinum blonde while referencing MM is more 'too on the nose' than it is 'really weak and doesn't translate' if it is anything.

NP. It doesn’t look platinum, it just looks washed out. It didn’t translate. It’s okay. Are you her stylist or something?

I'm not her stylist or even a fan. I just think you are making no sense.

We're telling you that she didn't look that good. Her idea was good, her execution was lacking. It led to a normally very striking woman looking strangely blah. What don't you understand about that?

Sure, yes, nods to MM - whatever! The point is to get there and look striking. She didn't.

That is not what you said. You said this:

You must be joking about going platinum blonde, because that "reference" is really weak and doesn't translate.

It doesn’t look platinum

I'm not arguing with you about whether she looked great. I think that is totally a matter of subjective opinion. I just think it seems like you are determined to find universal and nonsensical fault. Say it is underwhelming, fine, but she wore the actual dress MM wore, which is an american historical artifact, and regardless of your thoughts of the dye job, she dyed her hair a clear homage to MM. You can say it didn't look good! Fine! But it wasn't unclear or weak, and I'm not sure how wearing the ACTUAL DRESS could 'not translate'. I'm just saying regardless of how well you think the execution is, she was clearly executing the theme, and you are like, weirdly offended I think you are making no sense. But you are making no sense calling a platinum dye job a 'weak' reference to MM.

Um... more than one person is disagreeing with you. On a couple of things.
Platinum blonde (wrong hue, by the way) is weak because it's sleeked to a very 80's look. It's more Sharon Stone than MM.

You're focused on an isolated element: hair color, instead of understanding that MM's glam waves on a short modified bob are as iconic as the color. She had shortish hair, that looked soft and framed her face and neck in a very feminine way - the exact opposite of what Kim or her hair are doing.

I liked the dress of the woman pictured with Adrian Brody. A beautiful burgundy color.

I would not have reacted the way I did to this comment. This is not what the person I responded to said.

Notice that Kim no longer has an enormous rear end? She must have had butt implants removed or fat dissolved. I guess Big butts are not longer on trend

Yup, all those ladies who got the BBL will get them redone

No Blake and SJP are how you do the Met Gala. They are old pros at it.

Blake never disappoints.

Isn't that awful for the skin and such???

I mean what happens to your ass when you remove 1/2 of it???

Won't there be a ton of scarring and droopy cheeks after?

The rumours of her removing her BBL started last year. Ths is her in August 2021.
