No, they tried for a couple months after the show. It was surpriing to see that they did still seem in love. Shake looks much older than 33. Also, I would never take my pets to his practice! |
It sounded like her heart was still open to that. It is kind of amazing, given the speed and artificiality of that show, that any of them develops a genuine love. I guess it shows that when people are ready to settle down, they will. |

Please don’t judge me for looking forward to “The Ultimatum”.

Also, spending a lot of time talking with someone can help develop intimacy. Look at the 36 questions that help people fall in love: https://jezebel.com/here-are-the-36-questions-that-will-allegedly-make-you-1679062869 I wonder how much of falling in love in this context is just really getting to know people and loving them for who they are. That's different than being in a relationship in the real world. |
Looks like she was into it, ha ha! https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/love-is-blinds-kyle-abrams-deepti-vempati-fuel-dating-rumors/ |
lol - noooooooo! |
I don't see it. I don't see Kyle as the next guy Deepti brings home. But ok, they can have their fun. |
Yeah, its fine if this didn't end up working for someone. The gross things about Shake were: - The minute he got in the pods he seemed solely interested in finding out the girls size/weight. Little interest in just getting to know them. So why be on a show like this. Just go off and date petite blondes if that is the only thing you area attracted to. - He said really repulsive stuff about Deepti and apparently there was even more disrespectful stuff that they didn't air. It's fine to realize you don't have physical chemistry with someone. As I recall from the first season that seemed to be the case between at least one couple like that. Kenny(?) and I dont remember the girls name. She was extremely respectful of him, although it sucked to find out that was the situation. Shake was just repulsive and an egomaniac. I couldn't stand the faces he was making at the camera when Deepti was hugging him in Mexico. - NONE of the women could stand him and NONE of the guys could stand him so that says a lot. - He seemed shocked that the entire reunion wasn't going to be a discussion about him. As in seriously, I don't think he realized anyone would be interested in talking about anything else than his performance on the show. The first 15 minutes he kept interjecting himself when they were trying to discuss other couples. Really weird and complete lack of self awareness or reality. We actually had a thought that he has performance trouble and wondered how much he has actually been with women. He talks a big game, but wouldn't be surprised if the truth is that he is VERY inexperienced with women. |
|
That was the most uncomfortable reunion show I have ever seen. Some of them looked so stressed/upset that they looked like they were in physical pain.
I was surprised that with the ridiculous detail they went into about some things that they didn’t ask any details about Shane & Natalie dating after the show and why it went wrong again. Although, Shane looked like he could not handle one more question. So weird how he responded about Shaina too, but then didn’t explain. She just said they had never been involved, but sure seemed like more to it. I saw Shaina make a comment on IG saying that she couldn’t say more because of an NDA. Interesting. Also, seemed like a lot more to Sal & Mallory, but they didn’t pursue that either. Shake wasn’t even worth responding too since he is so over the top pathetic. Vanessa played right into his drama with her response. I thought Nick handled it all well, although no one would have blamed him for beating the crap out of Shake for his disrespectful comments about Vanessa. |
| I feel like I got more out of the reunion than the whole series. Their emotions seemed more real and honest, like they weren't as over promoted and fed lines like during the season. It also make the relationships all feel more real. Natalie seemed like a woman truly sad about a broken relationship. Sal seemed like a real guy who was with someone who just wasn't into him. They all became a lot more human in this, except for Shaina and Shake who are both gross human beings. |
| Is it possible that Shake and Shaina were planted "actors" whose role was to over the top unlikable? And that the others were actually regular-ish people? |
No. He’s a vet. Google Hyde Park vet Chicago and you’ll see pictures of him. Or just take my word for it. |
That's why I use the word actors loosely. Maybe he does improv on the weekends or something or he was a theatre major with the casting director before vet school... But he was hired to be there, as opposed to the others who went through a regular casting process looking to be on the show. They had him be charming in the pods, which we didn't see bc of editing, just enough to get him to find someone who would say yes. And Shayna, "pretty" and planted to act super flirty to find a match. |
Oh I’ll be watching lol. |
