LOL. The ballots are printed and early voting has started. |
Got that one wrong . . . |
|
Maybe Tricia has some spare "Mary Cheh's Choice" stickers she can give Matt.

Cheh has posted this statement:
I’m disappointed that Tricia Duncan has left the Ward 3 race, but, of course, respect her decision. I will now cast my vote for Matt Frumin and encourage all who haven’t voted yet to do so. I have known Matt for many years. He is deeply rooted in the community and has worked, often quietly and without fanfare, on many W3 issues such as affordable housing and school reform. He will reflect Ward 3 values and serve honorably on the Council. Mary Cheh |
Hopefully we’ll see some Frumin signs sporting “Endorsed by Tricia Duncan” stickers by the end of the week. |
Looks like the Cheh coattails are a kiss of death. LOL. |
The ballots are printed and people have already voted. |
| Monte shouldn't be ruled out. She'll get the Black vote and the moderate vote and she's done well on fundraising. It'd also be continue to have a woman on the male-dominated council. |
It'd also be good to continue to have a woman on the male-dominated council, that is. |
The Post story said 2,325 people had voted in the ward already in person, and 16,000 had voted by mail citywide. Let's say 1/8 of the city is in Ward 3. So that's 4300 Ward 3 voters who have voted. There are 84,000 people in Ward 3. Still a lot of voting to do. |
Somehow I don't think the Black vote will be decisive in Ward 3. |
Even if you are of the mindset that Black people will primarily vote for the Black candidate (which I think is wrong), Phil Thomas and Deirdre Brown are still in the race, splitting that vote. I’d give Phil way better odds than Monte, but still don’t think either really have a shot. |
