Lily Collins is too thin in Emily in Paris

No, she does not. And we should not promote this as a healthy standard.

I've spent my whole life getting the "eat a hamburger" comments. Hearing people whisper that I must have an eating disorder. I don't.

Maybe she's perfectly fine. Maybe she's not. But you're not her doctor or her parent, so it's none of your business.

Louder for the people in the back. I grew up just like you, and it's only as I've hit middle age that I have filled out enough to not get those comments anymore. Some people are just born thin, period.

If some people are born thin then we must accept that some are born fat and just leave everyone alone. How about that?

But she's a role model for young women. She looks terrible, IMHO, yet I worry that young women will think they should look like her. They should not!! She's ill, that's clear.

She is not ill. She still can shop at any store for her designated size, just like a good number of Asian girls. That would be a size 0 or UK 6 or EU 32.
What is this need to body shame anyone who doesn't look like yourself? Are you perfect?

And what's the REAL impact on young women? I yet have to meet someone anorexic and I know at least 70% of people who are overweight.

She has explicitly stated that she struggles with Anorexia. How can you be so assured she is not ill? You've also NEVER met an anorexic? I'm sure you have but you seem extremely both visually impaired and kind of tone deaf/not perceptive to eating issues.

She also would probably SWIM in size 0 clothing. I am a natural and healthy size 0/2 who previously struggled with an eating disorder (and yes, thin people get them too). She looks like the difference between my healthy 110 lb body and a 90 lb body.

Why are you so intent on silencing the voices of those of us who have suffered like this (like Lily says she has) when we call out the signs?

She actually even did a movie about being anorexic called To the Bone, which she made after suffering from anorexia herself. It's chilling to watch. Very sad.

I don't think she looks any skinnier than say, Kate Middleton, or Giada from Food Network. I saw her on Kelly Clarkson the other day and the other female guest next to her (forgot her name) looked exactly the same size. I don't think it's abnormal for famous women who concentrate on their looks. Yes it's abnormal compared to the general populace because as others have pointed out, we are 70% overweight.

Kate Middleton looks thin and athletic. Lily Collins looks thin and weak.

People who have ED are noticing the difference. Eye opening.

One of the lifetime legacies of having an ED is being hyperaware of other women's bodies...especially thin women's bodies. I notice details of people's muscle development, bone structure, etc that their spouse's don't always notice. I can't explain it, but I always know (even when I don't want to) how the contours of my body measure up to someone else's. For me, as an adult now I've managed to want muscle definition more than I want protruding bones (what I wanted as a tween and teen), but it's still something I notice without even thinking about.

I think they both look painfully thin. I don’t mean to critique other womens bodies, I just hope they are both healthy.

Going straight from season one to season two is jarring. I hope she can get healthy.

I was troubled watching season 2. Knowing how the camera adds weight, she must be a size 0. I thought the actress that played Sylvie also lost a noticeable amount of weight. Between the eyebrows, face wrinkles, odd fashion choices, and weight loss, season 2 just wasn’t as enjoyable as season 1.

Unless she is 5'10, I'm pretty sure she'd swim in a zero.

She looks fine. With the obese people we see everyday in the dc area who don't think they're fat is now the norm. Vanity sizing so fat people don't feel fat and hurt etc is another way to repress reality which is that there are too many fatties now who need to lose weight. Collins is fine at her weight.

Maybe you should get your eyes checked.

You're a piece of shit, and I say that from my size 23-24 in jeans and size 0 dresses.

As a thin person myself, who has also struggled with disordered eating, Lily Collins does not look healthy in this season of EIP. There’s a difference between thin - even very thin - and emaciated. One of the giveaways is when the person’s head looks out of proportion with their body. That’s this season, I’m afraid.

I cannot seriously consider the opinion of anyone who would use the word “fatties.” It disqualifies you from consideration as a decent human.
