Why are you hanging out in the left lane?

Seriously.

Are you people really trying to tell us that you believe the left lane in this photo should be empty except for drivers who are "only' passing the car in front of them?

Literally no one said that. Are you having trouble following?

For the other 20 hours in the day when the beltway looks like this, please don’t be a d1ck and simply keep right & pass left:

It’s really not that hard. Give it a try.

Only if you first don't break the law by speeding and reckless driving.

Ok.

No speeding.
No reckless driving.
No driving in the left lane unless passing.

We good?

I'm already going the speed limit. Unless you are breaking the law, it is physically impossible to pass me.

And if you're in the left hand lane, you might also be breaking it, so just stay to the right grandpa.

I think every person in the DC area who follows the speed limit must be posting in this thread. I sure don't see any of you when I'm on 270 and the main flow of traffic is going 70 almost all of the time outside of rush hour. Or you're lying because you know you're crappy drivers and have nothing but deflection and strawmen to cover for the fact that you don't understand how to drive.

If everyone is going 70 and that is the best speed, then go 70 and be happy. Stop complaining.

You are breaking the law by sitting in the left lane unless you’re in South Dakota.

We can sense your road rage. Please slow down for everyone's safety.

You're still the reckless speeder breaking the law. You're like the robber in a bank who screams "assault" because they got tackled by a bystander.

Exactly. No need for you to ever get in the left lane.

No there are still trucks going 55 in the right lane, so obviously i want to pass them in the left lane. But you should never be tailgating me because i'm already going the speed limit.

I don’t tailgate so that never an issue.

The speed limit is 55. The trucks are going 55. And you are behind the trucks in the right lane.

So if you pretend-play that everyone is in the right lane, what are you still screaming about? Btw, you should not be driving if you're hallucinating like this.

Just saying that since you are always driving the speed limit there will never be a need for you to be in the left lane. If you do in some rare case, it would be extremely short duration.

Right?
