Not to go COMPLETELY off topic but my firm gives 6 months of maternity leave and its quite common for women to start that leave before they give birth. I've never seen it begin more than 2-3 before delivery, but its pretty common. Then, they tack some PTO on the tail end |

I’ve never seen this done more than a week or two before in 16 years of practicing, and certainly not so the woman could put on booty shorts and no bra for her hubby to come home, but sure. Way to toss out a total red herring. Most of these women, including OP who emphasized it many times, said they are SAHM. |

| I’m not a sahm but I do wear cute/somewhat sexy and comfortable clothes when I get home from work. Partly because it makes me feel good and partly because i think it keeps things fresh with DH. I enjoy sex and looking hot puts me and DH in the mood. Like OP this isn’t all the time but I do make a consistent effort. |

+1. Why not take five minutes to get ready and change into something flattering, a little sexy, and not messy and covered in baby spit up or whatever? I see no downside. I don’t think this is very common, lots of posters seem to find it completely unbelievable, but I like the idea of caring for your marriage this way. |

I am 39 SAHM.
I wear a skirt, dress or nice pants everyday. Always with appropriate lingerie. I don’t think there is anything wrong with what OP does. I like flirting and teasing my husband. Outside of Covid I get wax every 3 weeks, manicure and pedicure every 2 weeks, massage weekly. What is wrong with dressing up a little? |

I think you writing it out like this is making people feel like it’s a lot but, in reality, I think a lot of people take a few minutes to look attractive for their partner on a regular basis. I like wearing clothes my DH thinks look great on me and I try to look nice even when it’s just the two of us at home. I don’t do this all the time, but my DH sees me looking put together daily.
We both work out of the home so I don’t think this is a sahm thing only. I like to look good at work and also at home when I’m with the person I actually have sex with. |
