Not to go COMPLETELY off topic but my firm gives 6 months of maternity leave and its quite common for women to start that leave before they give birth.  I've never seen it begin more than 2-3 before delivery, but its pretty common.

I’ve never seen this done more than a week or two before in 16 years of practicing, and certainly not so the woman could put on booty shorts and no bra for her hubby to come home, but sure. Way to toss out a total red herring. Most of these women, including OP who emphasized it many times, said they are SAHM. [/quote]
