No matter what happened may they all rest in peace and free from pain. |
It’s not clear. In a previous article, the sheriffs office said that murder was “not high on their list”, but I interpreted that to mean from an attacker on the trail. Others on this board have said that they think it would mean any kind of murder (including something like family annihilation). The biggest confusing factor to me is apparently no one hikes this trail in the summer. And there were much nicer places they could have gone. It’s just hard to understand why they chose to do this hike at all. It seems unavoidable that they would have known there would be no other people on the trail. |
The sheriff must have meant no attackers on the trail, so no ax murderers. He couldn’t have ruled out family annihilation without the toxicology results which still haven’t come in. |
Why are the toxicology reports taking so long to come in? |
Trying to figure out who gave the poison to who. Was it him was it her was it the dog? I’m still going with foul play. |
In laws lived in such a climate, and people arranged their lives around avoiding mid-day heat, sun, and the dryness. |
As others have pointed out, FA is usually perpetrated by men and they rarely use poison. They are the more physically powerful and less concerned about their ability to overpower others so more likely to use physical violence to kill their family members. Women who kill their families don't usually kill their husbands (or if they kill their DH, they don't kill their kids). |
I’ve seen plenty of babies out at big siblings soccer games or tournaments for hours at a time in the heat. Sometimes with shade, sure - like an umbrella or something. Do we know if the backpack carrier they were using had a shade for baby? Most do. |
