okay - I need to get it out of my system...

Does Nunes has fetish for Donald's nudes? Why is he bringing up in almost every testimony?

Actually, he is looking pretty terrible for refusing to testify and instead signing a book deal to tell his story. His public testimony could easily be the difference between conviction or not in the Senate. He has the credibility on the right to swag public opinion of Trump supporters.

He may have refused to participate in the Ukraine shenanigans, but if Trump is removed for this, he will be emboldened to do far worse and some of the responsibility for that will rest on Bolton.

PP here, I agree, was more just thinking of in today’s testimony and not wanting to “have any part” of the “drug deal.” Likely more a calculation on his part than actual integrity and principles!

Well duh.

Can anyone think otherwise? They're all looking out for themselves, and since they have different relationships with the President and varying levels of financial dependency on the success of this administration, they all need to make their own decision.

By "They're" I think you mean the people involved in the shakedown, not the witnesses.

Yes, but don't be naive. The "good guys" have their reputations as expert, apolitical professionals to protect. They are motivated to defend themselves and the State Department and Federal agencies in general, because they have been dragged through the mud by years of "Deep State" accusations. They are angry and hurt.

Everyone is calculating what's in their best interest, personally, and for the institutions they hold dear.

He has to work the "salacious" part in to his "salacious spy screen comedy" line that is going to recycle in today's closing.

I was actually thinking about this yesterday. I mean it seems totally credible to me that Trump actually BELIEVES the nutso conspiracy theories. So to the extent he is pursuing them, he is acting in good - if stupid and wrong - faith. Is that a defense? Maybe? Like he LIVES in Qanon territory, I think - they love him because they all believe the same crazy things.

He feels that way because he believes dictators like Putin and Orban over the people who work in the White House, the State Department, the Pentagon and our embassies to defend our democracy every day. That is unamerican.

It's horrible to think he believes the conspiracy theories. If he does this means he's completely lacking in critical thinking skills which as far as I'm concerned means he has no business being president.

You mean Schiff and the Russian collusion/dossier hoax? Over two years, he pushed that conspiracy theory.

I am the one who said I think he believes the conspiracy theories - and I also believe he is completely lacking in critical thinking skills, and has no business being president.
