Cap Blue 2026: 9th grade #11, last year #11 Cap Blue 2027: 9th grade #15, last year #21 So the teams either stayed the same or got worse. The 2028s finished #24 last year in a relatively weak class and there is zero chance that team, as currently constructed, is going to move into top 15. |
So this is the guy who likes to say that DC region class of 2028s is a "weak class". (Beware 2029 fans, he appears to be coming for you now). Peppered the threads with this line for years. Now, apparently, the entire national recruiting class of 2028s is a "relatively weak class". Just nonsense. In addition to being unprovable and unknown to this poster or anyone else yet, there are plenty of anecdotal reasons to disagree, nationally (at the BICs, and Juinors Open circuit) and locally. Just stop. |
Lol, hierarchies melt your brain, it’s amazing. I have a 2029, post in this thread all the time. |
Ooof rough start. Do they have a tough fall tourney draw? |
Tough competition at Continental (1A or 1B bracket, both are equally tough) and then a lesser bracket at Mid Atlantic |
Yipes, coopermine to start continental, then eagle stix and m&d to round it out. Good luck to them! |
| Isn’t the point to draw coaches? Sounds like a great opportunity to get in front of some great school if you play individually awesome. |
Quite confident no coaches are even thinking about 29s at the moment. They are still working through 27s. |
Oh for sure, you definitely want to play in the higher brackets. But coaches aren’t watching yet and I was just saying that bc it is def a rough early schedule for a new team finding its way. The question is will this cap blue team stay in those top brackets when it counts. I guess we find out soon. |
| When does cap switch out players? Mid season or not until tryouts in summer? Is there much turnover in either of the groups? Not specifically asking about players currently on roster but opportunities for players on other clubs. |
| The 27’s never caught up either. In fact, they don’t even play Hero’s Green because they are in the higher brackets. The recruiting is truly a mystery. Mid level talent at best. |
Smart talented kids who can afford full pay. Smart and full pay come before all. |
Not til tryouts. And yes, there is usually anywhere from 1-5 girls turning over. This year, Cap 28 blue moved 3 girls down and added two girls from outside and moved on Cap Orange up, and Cap Orange Cut 4 girls from the team and added two girls from outside of program. |
So they don’t develop players, they just swap them out. No wonder so many DMV girls are going elsewhere lately. |
Many of the top clubs do the same, so not really sure what your point is. This is fairly common |
