Money money money money…

100% Daughter went. Coaches were there, but just running drills, stations, and chit chatting. No clip boards like you might expect for a “recruiting” event. Doubt any of them left thinking this girl or that girl stood out. Capital is a money grab just like everything else out there. Maybe worse.

For what it is worth my daughter was there as well and I think it depended on the school (and these were assistant coaches with Richmond sending a new goalie coach). She said she saw VT and Villanova have a couple stars next to girls names on their clipboards/lists but overall not a great recruiting event for sure.

My daughter went on Saturday and I'd say it was worth the investment. Her assigned coach happened to be the Associate Head Coach from one of her top target schools and she thinks she made a good impression, which is all that one can hope for at these events. I heard Sunday was less well attended by coaches, which has absolutely been my experience with recruiting events. Always do your best on Saturday at recruiting events, because if you wait until Sunday to show off nobody will be there to see it.

Curioius if you got any feedback about your daughter after the event? Looking at the schools represented I am not sure when the last time someone from Capital committed to Maryland or Duke. Seemed like a money grab

It was 100% worth it. Smaller setting, great coaches from good schools and good opponents. The smaller setting was way better than a huge prospect camp that draws hundreds of girls. Just because a coach isn't out with a clipboard doesn't mean they aren't watching.

There was no formal feedback, though certainly there were some "good job" type comments to players during the drills and games. Cap 2026 and 2027 each had one commit to Duke, both from the Potomac School, and neither had any to Maryland.

While I agree for the most part, this event had 2 totally different sets of schools advertised for each day. All the schools listed on Sunday were represented aside from Penn State
