Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 3

You people need to put down the Kool aid. Are you willfully stupid or outright crazy? Or just a garden variety troll? As soon as you start talking about "liberals" as though they are a monolith, you lose all credibility. There are crazy posts on these Kavanaugh threads, to be sure, but so is yours. You "know" he's innocent. There are a limited set of people who "know" that, and you ain't one of em.

LOL! Kool aid? Go watch the opening of the first hearing on Kavanaugh. Almost choreographed and staged. Ridiculous, unprofessional performance by Dems.

Then, go listen to Feinstein the afternoon of K's last hearing--all the attacks. All the stupid questions about high school yearbooks. Personal attacks. Kavanaugh has had years on the bench and yet high school is the best they have? And, the assault accusations. Look at how Ford was handled by her lawyers--either she is lying or they deceived her.

No. It's not Kool Aid. The spiked punch came from Feinstein, et.al--not Kavanaugh.

And then watch this and try to convince me that this guy is owed a Supreme Court seat.

I am so sick of the liberals here. I am so sick of gossip and the allegations and the accusations based on no evidence. I am sick of the Democrats on this committee, and the ones in Congress who “believe her” because THAT is what is politically correct to do. Forget there is no corroborating evidence. Forget that this man has had 6 background checks and has served 12 years on the 2nd highest court in the land and has been accused of NOTHING.

I don’t know Judge Kavanaugh. But, I know he is innocent of all of the allegations thrown at him. And, I feel deeply for his family and him because this hell he is in has been extended another couple weeks. I also know NOTHING will ever be the same for him. And, that saddens me deeply. And, contrary to what some of you keep repeating - HE did not ask for this. He was nominated. He accepted the nomination. I am sure, in retrospect if he knew and truly understood the tactics the liberals would take, he may not have accepted. But, here were are. And, there is no way in hell he will withdraw now because that would be surrendering and all of you accusations-pushers would dub him as guilty.

People keep saying things like... when the FBI proves (fill in the blank). It doesn’t work that way. You think the investigation is going to turn up “guilt” or “innocence.” It won’t. And, Kavanaugh knows that. He knows it is another week of hell for him because of sites like this and the media that will continue to slander him and print op-eds saying he shouldn’t be around children the longer this goes on. Those of you who think the FBI investigation is going to prove anything are ignorant and/or naive.

I have had one thing reinforced from this whole horrible ordeal. There are no depths to which the liberals won’t go. They do not care about the lives they destroy, because the ends justify the means. I am so glad that I am not one of you.

I'm sure you're also correcting all of the people who "know" Ford is telling the real, actual, objective truth. (For the peanut gallery, I too think her testimony was believable. That doesn't mean it was the actual truth. Brian Williams could tell us all about memories of frightening situations being inaccurate.)

Oh yes, that's why I said there are crazy posts...from both sides. At this point, how any of us could claim to "know" what happened or didn't happen in 1982 between these two people is ludicrous. Unless, of course, BK, Dr. Ford or Judge are posting here anonymously.

There are many people on here who agree we do not know. I base my opinion of BK's lack of fitness on other things. And I feel bad for all families involved.

He sounds lovely at work: https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/i-knew-brett-kavanaugh-during-his-years-republican-operative-don-ncna907391

Look into Brock’s suits against his former partner if you want to see a “lovely” person.

Can you explain what this refers to?

When Brock and his partner broke up, he sued him over (ironically) a Delaware beach house. Maybe Brock or his partner is one of Ford’s Delaware beach friends who advised her what to do in August

I think she was at the beach in California. It was clear from the ideas that were given to her that none of them were people remotely connected to politics in anyway. They were trying to be helpful but it was not their area of expertise at all. Also clear none of them were lawyers either.

In Ford’s testimony, she referred to asking friends in Delaware for references to lawyers. She mentioned calling lawyers from the Walgreen’s parking lot in Rehoboth to discuss her case. She came to Rehoboth annually to visit her parents so she could have acquaintances who are typical Washington lawyers.

Not sure if I’m missing something, but that seems pretty uneventful.

Testify where?

She will likely be interviewed by the FBI and tell them what she knows

Did you know she doesn't want to speak under oath?

Serious question: does the FBI conduct interviews under oath?

I was happy with the reopened investigation yesterday afternoon. I thought "why not?" It can't hurt and could be the start to mend what has happened.

As expected, this week will serve as time well spent for Democrats to come up with countless other ways to discredit Kavanaugh. This had absolutely nothing to do with actual expectation or hope that facts would be found to prove or disprove Ford or Kavanaugh by an FBI investigation. That, everyone knew, was unlikely.

Nobody expects Democrats to vote for Kavanaugh, but if anyone thought that any of the Dems would say, "Thank you. At least now we know, and we got what we asked for with this FBI investigation." Hell no. It will be another week of this shit show, and then Dems will riot in the streets and he'll need full time bodyguards. The craziest of the Dem politicians will encourage their constituents to harass Kavanaugh, and on and on and on.

This was nothing but an empty stall tactic. Regardless of what comes up, it will be FAR from laid to rest.

Yeah, you're missing him lying under oath

This is a good article that explains why Swetnick could have gone to those parties again and again

Red herring. Lying to the senate carries the same legal penalty as lying to the FBI. Leland already provided her statements under penalty that she does not know Kavanaugh.

Or a teacher, or a basketball coach, or a reader at Blessed Sacrament.

This guy is a fraud and should be ashamed of himself.

Email from Blessed Sacrament today (Kav the choir boy's full-time church) announced a virtual town hall about the abuse and culture of secrecy that is shaking the Catholic Church. Kind of amazing timing, don't you think? BTW I am Catholic.

If you truly are Catholic then I suggest you go to reconciliation because no decent person, let alone a decent Catholic, would talk about anyone the way you just did. You need to examine your conscience.

So true. And the worst thing is that certain elements of the Blessed Sacrament community have started referring to "Coach K" as "Coach Rapey." How cruel!

Are they "Coach K" alumni?

A mix of the community. They must know that referring to Coach K as Coach Rapey is heartbreaking, right?

Some students, parents, and staff (not faculty.) Not all but some. From Coach K to "Coach Rapey." It really is unkind.

1) I don't recall Kavanaugh ever saying he did not get drunk back then. I heard him say he was never blackout drunk, i.e. so drunk that he had no recollection of events. That's important because the Dem Senators were trying very hard to establish this to use it to say that he didn't remember assaulting Ford.

2) It's a matter of time before someone steps forward with Ford's yearbook - the fact that her social media was scrubbed clean suggests intent to hide background information.

3) Ford flew multiple times for pleasure, as far as Polynesia. You can make any excuse you want for why, but the FACT is she said she was afraid to fly to come out to the DC area. Furthermore, she also stated she flew out yearly to go to DE with her family.

4) The prosecutor who interviewed her said that she would not prosecute Kavanaugh based on Ford's testimony.

FBI; please describe the night Judge Kavanaugh was with Dr. Ford.

Mark Judge: I have no recollection of such a night, and I’ve never seen Judge Kavanaugh behave as described.

PJ Smith: I was never at such a gathering described.

Leland Keyser: I have never met Judge Kavanaugh.

FBI: Can you describe any time Dr. Ford and Brett Kavanaugh were together at a small gathering at a private house?

Collective: No

FBI: would you like to add anything else?

collective: No

FBI: thank you we will put this in our report.

FBI report:

Brett Kavanaugh statement, Christine Blasey Ford statement, three witnesses’ account.

Joe Manchin: FBI conducted a thorough investigation and found no credible corroborating evidence, therefore I will vote yes

Jeff Flake: This one week pause reaffirmed ... blah blah ... therefore I will vote yes

This. Obviously. Moreover, she may shed some light on Ford's zeel to kill the nomination of any conservative.

This nonsense needs to end, one way or the other, so the focus can be placed back on securing a pay raise for feds in 2019. Wrap it up, clowns.
