Public Trump Impeachment Hearing Mega Thread

Per David Holmes:
President Trump: "Is he going to do the investigation?"
Gordon Sondland: 'He'll do whatever you want"

Fox News will figure out a way to make them unlikable, and make Trump seem more likable.

Agreed - I am glad the public is able to see civil servants in this light.

How is Schiff not getting tired of being on for so long and running everyone through almost the same story over and over again?

I like it. She should read audio--book mysteries. Or political dramas.

I'm sure he's tired.

But some elected people take their Constitutional duties seriously.

Daniel Goldman also comes off as quite outstanding IMO.

I'm a civil servant (on leave today) and watching this has been really inspiring to me. They are all doing their job and doing it well.

Yes, very strong witnesses and I love how even and methodical Goldman is.

He's great. I have honestly been impressed with every Democratic Rep in these hearings. It is fascinating to watch them at work.

Dang - Fiona Hill - very compelling re-telling of the Bolton "I'm not going to be part of this drug deal" incident.

I think the Rs should have picked another counselor. This guy doesn't need to work but is highly educated:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_S._Goldman

This guy has been doing the same thing for ... about 15 years.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Castor

That said, I enjoy the intelligent story told by Goldman when questioning witnesses. And Castor entertains me.

Why didn't the minority side hire somebody else? There are so many Federalists who would love this gig and would shine.

Ken Starr on Fox now, trotting out the latest GOP defense

Trump didn't have a "corrupt" state of mind because he felt so deeply wronged by Ukraine and he didn't trust them.

So as many predicted, they're being forced to admit that Trump did withhold aid from Ukraine and demand investigations but it was because he so firmly believed he knows more about what was "really" going on in Ukraine than the professionals.

Because the GOP MOCs aren't very smart. Come on, they believe that Trump's phone call with Zelensky is EXONERATING. They are stuck in an echo chamber of stupidity.
