Going to just say it. Its time for Paul Ellis to step down and get someone who gives a damn. Hold your coaches accountable when 80% of the parents complain. |
It's past time. And he needs to take some of the others with him. |
Care to share more? Yeah, the 147 pages worth. |
Send an email to the director explaining all the things Valor/your coach did that didn't meet your expectations OR the information you were given at the beginning of the season and say you are withdrawing your player and aren't planning on sending more payments. |
No one has time to write an email that long. |
+1.
Yup. Valor staff- you’re reading this- pick a page, any page- it’s about you. |
Can you reasonably expect leadership to hold Coaches accountable to parents complaining anonymously? I’m no fan of Paul’s but if you really want change, parents simply need to stop hiding. To be clear, if it’s said on a message board Paul doesn’t give it any merit or value nor should he. If things are as bad as noted here on the board and it means that much to the parents, then parents will take action in person or at the very least take ownership of their grievances in an email. To that end, an email will not provide the same result as an in-person meeting w/the director of coaching, the youth director of the division, and the Coach. Furthermore and more importantly, to provide the greatest possibility of change and accountability, demand that multiple members of both the Valor and CYA board attend the meeting. I find it hard to believe an email to all of the people mentioned above from the parents requesting an in-person meeting will go unnoticed or ignored. Create a detailed agenda for your meeting and in act of respecting people’s time send it to all expecting to attend. Don’t get into a pissing contest about personal issues, it’s not public school board meeting where constituents are only to be heard and nothing gets done. Challenging the execution of the Club’s mission is not the same as attacking the leader personally. To get something done, think from the Club’s view, it is about ‘player development’ not W’s, ‘playing time’ or personal grievances. If your main grievance/s are w/a Coach ‘and’ your solution is to fire a Coach, the grievance better be so bad that the Club’s public image and or reputation is undeniably adversely affected such that the immediate firing of the Coach outweighs the pain of simply letting them finish the season. My counsel to you and the other parents, come w/reasonable grievances and reasonable executable solutions that can be easily and quickly implemented. Give the Club an opportunity to make a good faith effort to solve the issues at hand. Doing this in a public forum w/sitting board members from both Valor and CYA provides both Valor leadership and the parents accountability w/the best chance of achieving the objectives for each. You and the other parents already collectively agree the player development of your team needs to be addressed. Assuming you already collectively brought these issues to the Coach and nothing has changed, you need to take further action. Stop hiding and murmuring on the sidelines w/each other. You are all smart enough to know it can’t be done from a message board. Your action if taken as outlined above is the best chance to affect changes for your player, team, and the entire Club. Anything short of this expect nothing to change. |
Paul has been directly complained to trust me.
He doesnt care. When you have a survey sent out to parents and 80% of responses were highly negative of a certain coach. And you reassign him to same team its a big middle finger to anyone paying for this crap |
To poster above… paul sat in with the 2013 coach last season with parents He defended coach even though we all knew he was moving out of state. This coach canceled practices and even was recruiting for his new team out of state. He was basically absent from dec to june.. |
We've sent emails, spoken to coaches, and technical staff. THEY DO NOT CARE. |
I’ll bet the board of directors responsible for hiring Mr. Ellis care. |
Board of Directors-joke!
Paul Ellis- check out his salary! |
Let’s get it all out there!
Name names!!! |
Valor admin and coaches, (I know at least one coach is reading and responding- way to call yourself out. I’m on the field watching you.) go ahead defend yourself. |
