Men outnumber women by something like 4 to 1 in the armed forces, so this isn't a surprise.

Well aren't you Inspector Clouseau. Not at all fishy. See other posts.

So, looking ahead here to the future of Republican Senators who have expressed their opinion today that the latest accusation is another Democrat scam.

Do you think they will face political backlash?

They fear their own base more than anything else. He may still be confirmed.

I think the base has shrunk considerably in the past 24 hours!

Remember that Roy Moore was not elected...

Their base may have shrunk a little bit. But many, many more people who sat home in Nov 16 will be voting.

With an allegation of enabling gang rape? I believe a lot of Republican women will stay home. We'll see.

Not this one. I’m voting. Gotta get this country more RED.

Why is a sexual "train" automatically assumed to be rape?

I was a first-person witness to sex trains in college. The women were typically sober and thought it was thrilling, I guess.

Websites like Barstool sports and TFM have sorority girls posting college bucket lists and one of the items on the list is typically some form of group sex or having sex with a few athletes at once.

And she graduated from gaithersburg public high school. This one requires a willing suspension of disbelief.

I don't read this as saying she was raped *specifically by Kavanaugh or Judge*, but that they were at the parties and were part of the culture there. All of which is gross - but is not the same as saying Kavanaugh himself is a rapist. More than he was part of a disgusting and entitled group of boys, some of whom raped.

I worry about Avenetti. On the one hand, he seemed to do right by Stormy. But he does seem to be acting a little bit clever here. I believe this woman that girls were raped at these parties, and that Kavanaugh and Judge were at the parties where girls were raped. I worry that Avenetti is trying to imply Kavanaugh did the raping without coming out and saying so.

Agree we must be precise, but her statement DOES say she saw Kavanaugh and Judge spiking punch and things of that nature, in addition to the actual sexual harassment of female peers at those parties, so it's pretty bad whether or not he actually raped them.

Also she says she witnessed boys lined up outside of rooms and "these boys included" kavanaugh and judge which strongly suggests she saw them standing in a "train" line outside a room on one or more occasions.

She did nothing? She kept going back?

FWIW, pp. I totally agree with you.
After going to college, I never attended HS parties with kids younger than me. Ever.

Only Trump can withdraw him and he just doubled down on twitter. Kavanaugh can withdraw himself which I think would be wise but he doesn't seem to want to do that.

No one's withdrawing. I predict they will ram this through.

This just gave every red state D and Collins/Murkowski cover to vote no. McConnell might ram through a vote but it will be to get the no vote over with so they can move on to the replacement.

And IMO no way Jeff Flake votes him out of committee.

Jeff Flake already gave his"both-side" "apology" speech today to vote yes.

Ugh. See previous posts refuting this attempt to discredit.

That doesn't mean she didn't.

Lol. You have no idea how much he did or didn’t drink. This whole thing is bullshit. He’s qualified and will be confirmed.

can't believe you're a real person

I am and a woman and a Democrat who voted for Hillary. Also a lawyer. This campaign is transparently political and the allegations are drafted to be vague guilt-by-association nonsense with timing that is ridiculously and transparently politically-motivated. It’s a campaign to discredit him based on him being at parties where bad things may have happened. You are a sheep and a part of the brainless mob for believing this stuff.

sorry, don't believe you

LMAO. Go ask Jeff to check my IP. I posted tons in favor of Hillary. Is it really so unbelievable that I can think for my damn self and see that this campaign is vague and baseless. I’m a woman who can think for herself, thank you very much. I read and think critically and can see this latest #metoo campaign for what it is.

This poster asked other posters to ask me to check the poster's IP address. Two posters asked. So I checked and this poster has claimed to be a Hillary supporter in the past. However, the poster also claims to have been impressed by the Jordan Peterson videos and to have "seen the light" as a result. The poster also support the "Walk Away" movement which doesn't really exist.

Ah, so not perhaps as he/she wishes to appear. Thanks, Jeff.

It doesn’t say when she graduated HS. I doubt it was 1980. There is no way she’s that old.

Very balanced speech, although I feel he believes the accusers.

Is the transcript posted somewhere?

He is such a coward. He was an O.G. Tea Party loon, lest we forget.
