Spoke to a parent and announcement is tomorrow morning with meeting after in the evening. |
cause there are more D1 players in ECNL and ECNL draws a massive amount of coaches to its events, way more than GA. |
|
There you have it Champions Cup is over.
U13 champs - Cincinnati cup U14 champs - Lou Fusz U15 champs - TopHat U16 champs - TopHat U17 champs - STA U19 champs - HTX Overall club champ - TBD Alright GA and ECNL start announcing the big ones! |
lol where does your kid play in ECNL? Just curious |
Gotcha, no reason to wait on the announcement until after the meeting since word has gotten out. |
there are still some games going on at the champions cup (consolation round) today. Announcements tomorrow |
Because one has only been around for 4 years while the other has been around for 15 years. People conveniently gloss over that as if it doesn't matter. What you should look at is the year over year percentage increase of GA commits. That number was about 15% for the 2025 class. It also only matters what's happening in your region. |
Agree. Maybe to let girls news settle. I've also heard multiple scenarios, so question is which is true? Heard they get Next 2, but also heard they get 3 teams (1 in Next and 2 in Next 2) which doesn't happen. They do need to just put it out there for the families but that would be too easy. |

One more announcement today?
You guys think the biggest announcements have happened already? |
Depends on what you consider to be a big announcement. Not being bias to the area I think NVA was the biggest addition so far. Not sure if there's gonna be any major ECNL adds. |
I agree with you as well. Charlotte independence was a great add as well. Wondering if there are any more in that caliber |
GAL club of the year hasn't announced they're leaving for ECNL yet. I expect that to happen in the next couple of weeks. it was around this time last year (maybe a little earlier) that Nationals announced they were being promoted to ECNL after being crowned GAL's club of the year. It's become rite of passage. |
CITY SC is perfectly fine where they are. No way they lose MLSN to go ecnl |
Look, all the big GA clubs are locked into MLS Next, they're not going anywhere. Honestly, GA's got the upper hand now, just pulling in more clubs. Plus, why would anyone jump to ECNL when are bailing? Doubt things will get better for ECNL going forward. |
I think Mlsnext giving certain clubs in both GA and ECNL was a master class chess move that will pay dividends in the next year or so 🥳 |
