| Let's not get carried away there STA mom. STA sends a few kids to top schools and so does Riverside (and Duke, Princeton, and Yale didn't even accept SAT and ACT scores this year). STA has about 600 boys and Riverside has 900 boys. It was a pretty even game. |
Okay prep daddy… |
STA has 80 boys per class give or take and fields the best tennis, golf, and running teams and has a pretty good baseball team. You know how many that siphons off? Your school of 900 boys just played a team distilled from about 40 total lacrosse players across 4 classes. And last year, there were over 30 boys who went to Ivys, and the likes of Duke, Georgetown and Williams. Throw in UNC, Notre Dame, UVA and its over 40. Of course those kids took and submitted their tests scores. |
| This is why private schools don’t claim St. Albans. Get off here with your smug academic stats. You all suck at real sports (not tennis golf and running). |
Beat everyone in soccer too! |
We also have the best baseball player in the DMV - is that a real enough sport for you? |
I think you misunderstood the point of citing the other spring sports teams. 80 boys -golf - tennis - track - baseball leaves a lot less for lacrosse. |
I mean golf is 6 boys across 4 classes, tennis is 6 boys. Those aren’t taking up a ton of potential lacrosse players |
There are also the boys who are there for the music program. Those kids do not play sports. |
| No I didn’t misunderstand you. You are an all boys school. There are coed schools in your league who would have that issue even more so than STA. |
For the varsity, there were 16 golfers, 10 tennis players, 25 or so baseball, 26 track and more than 35 on the crew team as well. |
No one else is as small and has a music program as well. More to the point, the Riverside poster asserted the school had “600” boys when it has about half that many. |
| Yeah whatever |
| How bad is Heights gonna beat down Yorktown when they meet later in the year! Lol |
| Any other good games tomorrow besides Bullis and GC? |
