Really interested in this one. Hate that it turned cold again. This one should be played under perfect conditions. |
| Should be fun. Hope it’s streamed. |
| Maybe the St. Albans music program can sing the national anthem at it. |
I don’t know. When they played last year it was 10-8. |
| What’s prediction with GC/Bullis? |

Interested on everyone’s opinion.
Does your team get better playing against teams that are stacked with good players or teams with 1 or 2 good players? Win or lose |
Best contribution of the day. |
"Try to keep up"? Keep up with what? Your lies? Score was a 2-3 point game until almost the end of the third - facts. Why lie? And how exactly should it have been much worse? If STA learned how to play better lacrosse or had better players? If the refs made different calls? If the coaches did a better job? What exactly do you mean? This was a game of two very average teams playing sloppy lacrosse. Don't even get me started on your final classic (and so unoriginal) STA statement. It is so cringe worthy and truly an embarrassment to your community. Every time an STA booster reads their team isn't very good their retort is always about just how much smarter their boys are. Completely tacky, classless, and untrue. The STA boys are just as smart as boys at other schools in our area. The difference is the STA boys and their parents are told repeatedly their boys are smarter and the best of the best by the school. It's how they get you to pay almost $60K in tuition each year. Boys at other schools are equally as smart. Sure, not all boys are smart, but not all boys at STA are smart either. Look at their matriculation list these days, it really isn't that much different than other popular schools in our area. The STA matriculation list does include schools like Harvard and Yale, but it also includes schools like Montgomery College, Kentucky, Arizona State, Alabama, Whitworth, Elizabeth City State, VCU, etc. The STA lacrosse team is not full of "kids pulling 1600s and 36s" and we are not watching boys going to "Duke, Princeton, and Yale" more than any other school, especially in the IAC. Get over yourself. Not only is your statement a complete exaggeration, but it is delusional. |
This is an appropriate game for a public vs a private. The Heights is a very small school who grinds away at the lacrosse powers but can't win due to a number of reasons. They have one freshman on offense with some skill and the rest of the team works very hard and is well coached. If the freshman doesn't play for whatever reason, Yorktown should win comfortably, otherwise, it's a toss up. |
Boys' Latin at Gonzaga St. Mary's at Landon |
Culver at SJC |

We have some big games slated for this afternoon. I'll try my best to track today's area schedule.
Culver Academy at SJC BL at Gonzaga Saint Mary's Annapolis vs Landon Good Counsel at Bullis PVI at Blue Ridge McDonogh at Haveford Hill Academy at Calvert Hall Ryken at Georgetown Prep Neutrals Picks) [b]Culver over SJC by 5 - 6 BL over Gonzaga by 3 Landon over Saint Marys by 1 - 2 Bullis over Good Counsel by 5 - 6 Blue Ridge over PVI by 1 - 2 McDonogh over Haveford by 3 - 4 Calvert Hall over Hill Academy by 3 GP over Ryken by 9+ I'm very intrigued to see how far Good Counsel has come under Dane Smith in just two years. While the program appears to be heading in the right direction, don't think they have the horses to keep up with Bullis just yet. I suspect the Falcons will keep it rather close for the first half and Bullis pulling away big in the 2nd half when the depth kicks in. |

Boys' Latin at Gonzaga.
St. Mary's at Landon Culver at SJC Good Counsel at Bullis Last chance to get a little more even with MIAA. Some transference application with common opponents. SJC hoping Culver is tired from the long trip. Is GC real and/or is Bullis back to being a top team? |
| If I remember correctly, the Heights lost to a public school in Frederick County last year. |
