Feedback on VLC Club Lacrosse?

The question is why did Crabs not help more in this situation... You need to remember that Crabs up in Baltimore own VLC.

The prior VLC directors and King Crab had no interest in Cavs. Zippo. It was Cavs who were pushing hard and I guess got the ear of King Crab, who very much likes $$$. The only reason VLC was even associated with Crabs in the first place was to get into the big tourneys. Otherwise, Crabs has almost nothing to do with VLC (except they require uniforms and registeration are done through them). They had nothing to do with coaches, fields, etc. That was all VLC coaches and parent volunteers. To think Crabs would all of sudden be more hands on shows how little research Cavs did.

Is it true that the VLC HS teams are going be managed & operated as their own entirety moving forward, with old leadership only focusing on that group?

I could see this as the 2024 coach was supposed to be the 2028 coach. Well I am guessing he did have the kids he needed to be competitive enough and dropped the 2028 team completely…

Practices are held in Falls Church, Marymount, and Long Bridge. Maybe a couple of other places.

True VA's Black teams went last year. So....

I see Steve Brooks as a VLC coach for one of the younger teams. Great player, great coach, great person. He was an inspiring coach for my son when he was about that age (now playing in college).

How is the 2025 recruiting situation? With Sept 1 approaching it will be interesting to see how many of those players get offers. Team has been together for a long time with some success. Might give idea of how the new regime is working and the support they are giving to their best advertisements for the club. 2023 and 2024 team had some very solid commits.

The 2025 team has had a coaching change the last year or so, but think it's overall a pretty good team with a lot of very strong players. They should fare well imo

I believe the 25 team had multiple HC in the past few years. Going back through the comments that have always had problems putting up goals. Looking at US Club Lax they were 8-11-2. The scoring thing plays out in the listings. They seem to beat lesser teams and blown out a few times by better teams. Seems to be an average 25 team. Should expect a few DIII players but no big signings, but that’s just a guess based on past experiences.
