How will anti-vaxxers lives be limited?

I am getting vaccine this week but in general, why does anyone care about others not getting it? We aren't reaching herd immunity and you're protected so nothing to worry about. That's why people are hesitant (among other things) but if it works and it prevents Covid, then move along.

MDs can be fully in support of the vaccine and of vaccine science. They may run their practice accordingly and there is nothing unethical or bullying about it.

Is that so infectious that you say good buy to your kids over zoom?

But on the flip side, employers won’t provide extended sick leave and quarantine leave etc.

Yeah, I just had 2 unvaccinated supervisees have to use almost 2 weeks of sick leave to quarantine because they were exposed to another employee, where the vaccinated employees could come to work as usual and just self-monitor for symptoms. At least one of those two is reevaluating her stance.

That's quite the policy.

Why. The guidance for vaccinated people is different than for unvaccinated people. Of course. Why would they not be subjected to different policies?

Because vaccination doesn't provide protection against getting Covid, per the CDC. So if they can get it, they can transmit it.

Absolutely. They are allowed to use their training, expertise, and knowledge to make professional decisions about how to run their practice.

So we are all playing Russian roulette, but with very different odds.

Vaccinated folks are picking up guns with 1 bullet in 1,000,000 chambers.

Unvaccinated folks playing the same game with 1 bullet in every hundred chambers.

I agree. It’s about control at this point. Politicizing it, and making the losing side pay. It’s an escalating arms race between two parties, and we are all just political pawns. It is all making people dig their heels in more.

-vaccinated, didn’t vote for Trump in either of the last 2 elections

No. Everyone gets vaccinated, Covid goes away.

People don't get vaccinated, and it doesn't go away. And we keep paying the price.

What is so damned hard to understand about that?

The 1918 flu went away and not everyone got it. Eventually enough people DID get it to create herd immunity.

The difference is that now they are saying people who had the virus don't count towards herd immunity. That completely defies all past science.

Huh?

From John hopkins within the last 3 weeks.....
"
The emerging data confirms what many of us thought would be the case—that not only do the vaccines stop symptomatic COVID, but they also make it highly unlikely that someone can even be infected at all.

I think the preponderance of the evidence supports the fact that vaccinated individuals are not able to spread the virus."

Yup. The more they politicize it, the less they will be believed. All the 'fake news' labels everywhere has already created new platforms of conversation that people are flocking to. Eventually the only thing left will be the bully pulpit and a crackdown via regulatory means.

OK, you go with that. Remember how long they told us that asymptomatic people are super spreaders? Turns out that wasn't quite true.

The virus will circulate in unprotected populations.

The virus could give a rats ass about anyone's politics. If you are susceptible and unprotected the virus will infect you when it finds you.
