What are you talking about? I’m in the Facebook group and have never seen a doxxing attempt of anyone let alone a teacher. That would definitely break the group rules. I’ve found the group to be much nicer even when there is hardcore debate about stuff than normal discourse on AEM.

Does everyone realize what a nonsensical discussion this is? That twitter account was full of screenshots, not just of the FOIA which revealed who asked for Mary's APS emails, but screenshots mostly of APE's FB page. It promoted Mary heavily, using APE's/Miranda's words against them, and tagged current SB members and Arlington Dems. It's clear that Smart Restart was behind it (just from who exposed the handle, and those who followed the page), but I really want to know if Mary Kadera's campaign coordinated with them. Honestly, if Kadera's campaign coordinated with them, I'll sit this election out. No thank you.

What APE twitter post was showing screen shots of a private group's discussion or any groups? I've never seen them retweet someone to say ohhhh lookie here like I see with some of the prolific Arlington trolls or post a screenshot of someone's twitter posts like Smart Restart and co. What APE facebook post was showing screenshots of a private group? I've never seen that from either the twitter nor the facebook group. Smart restart and it's founders and trolls have retweeted screen shots of APE's twitter, I have never seen anything like that from APE twitter or their group. Just lots of articles and quotes.

Obviously they are mad about the way APS and the Board handled this but I don't see them EVER going after other individuals, families or parents. Only one group does that and it's not Arlington Parents for Education.

This is ridiculous and disheartening. This obsession with slandering APE members is ridiculous. If you want schools to stay closed then advocate with the SCHOOL BOARD. What is the point of going after a group of parents and individuals you don't agree with? Focus your ire and disappointment at APS, the County, the Superintendent, whatever but this disparaging and slandering of your neighbors has got to stop.

Sounds like people from APE were trying to go after teachers, but that was shut down. The attempts to doxx were rightfully removed by APE admins.

But no one in APE doxes teachers. Literally just checked what "founder" supposedly "admitted" on APE and he did not say that. I'm not surprised though, the SR crew is constantly spewing misinformation and cannot interpret data for shit. Remember that post 12% of kids that get covid are hospitalized? That poster walked it back somewhat but how could she possibly have believed that at all if she was reading credible sources. It's very easy to figure out who is behind ApeShit - FOIA whoever FOIA'd to see the who requested the FOIA on Mary. 2.) Husband of SR admin posted a link to an ugly Twitter page with only 11 followers (most if not all of them, SR members), where APE member's FOIA request and name was revealed. No one would have ever known about this Twitter page if he did not post it to AEM.

3.) If you scrolled the Twitter page, it was very Mary Kadera friendly, and kept tagging @ArlDems and all SB members with screenshots from APE's Facebook page. The Twitter handle owner obviously has it out for Miranda Turner and APE, and wants to take them down.

4.) Once owner realized it wasn't going their way, they made the handle private.

5.) Drama comes here because, anon. We discuss and discuss again. A worse version of AEM.

6.) Seriously though, SR should focus on the SB and Syphax, and leave APE members alone.

7.) Mary Kadera's campaign may be connected or not. But why pay FOIA money if you won't benefit from it? Doing it for the drama doesn't make sense.

Can you not keep up? The Governor has mandated 5 days of school. Since that’s the crux of MT’s campaign, and all she’s ever done to “get involved,” he kind of knee-capped her campaign. It literally doesn’t matter who wins the SB race, there will be 5 days of in-person instruction unless the Governor changes the mandate. And if he does, it also won’t matter who is on the SB, because they won’t be able to override the Governor. Whether or not there will be 5 days of in-person instruction is not up to our SB and should have no bearing on the SB election.

I enrolled mine in private this year because my kids were absolutely miserable and regressing in ipad school. I plan on being back at APS once they too are full five day (don't trust they won't try some insane hybrid thing next year at this point as a note). Half the board doesn't have any children in APS. Why would her leaving for private because they were, you know, open this year, mean she isn't qualified to run for school board? We don't disqualify others if they have a total of ZERO children in APS and she obviously put her money where her mouth is and trusted it was safe for in-person school. Doing what's best for your kid shouldn't be an issue.
