I'm pretty sure it's not just one person, but keep drinking that Kool-Aid if you want.

Clearly. But why? I know I have had encounters with the Assistant Head and she has flat out lied to me. Hos seems pretty strong, but I worry he listens to her too much.

What makes you think the PP is a "she"?

Who are you referring to? The only female “Assistant Head” is responsible for Advancement.

Garman is not strong. He is weak and not strategic, and also largely invisible. Which seems to be exactly what the board wants.

Do students get to see the letters that the CCO writes on their behalf?

No.

Why not?
Then how did people know about the counselor from last year who had errors in his letters?

They read what he wrote. Awful and painful.

Who is "they"?

Parents began to notice that in even routine communications, the counselor couldn’t write.

That was the former director’s big mistake, that he just dug in on this guy and ignored mounting concerns. The director instead should have acknowledged that the hire didn’t work out, make a change, and move on.

Where was Mamadou in all this? Does he actually do anything to lead the US?

Why would the Board want the hoS to be invisible?

And I'm sure she left with a smile knowing she wouldn't have to put up with the likes of you who judge women based on their appearance, not their abilities.

Or she may be smiling knowing that she's sexy.

He’s much better than his predecessor L, who alienated the faculty and barely knew any of the kids.

It sounds like a pretty low bar.

Why doesn’t Sidwell be transparent and publish this kind of data?

https://www.gds.org/academics/college-counseling/matriculation

Why should they? Sidwell has a strong reputation and nothing to prove. It's not like strong students aren't applying because DCUM blasted the college counseling office.

+1. Sidwell has a high profile that can draw unhealthy attention so why make any info public that you don''t have to.

People can get this information, but Sidwell isn't going to post it on their website.

Does Sidwell provide families going through the application process with a copy of the school profile that they provide to colleges?

SFS School profile is a state secret.
