Agreed. Sidwell should eliminate their football program.

Why? If there are kids who want to play, and they are having fun, and some go on to play in college, what is it to you?

1. They barely have enough kids to play

2. Losing 62-0 is not fun

3. None of them are going to play in college

1. Wrong
2. True, but the team is still having fun.
3). Wrong

No need to pile on a bunch of kids just because their football team is bad but stop with this nonsense about any of them playing at the next level. One three star recruit to a very mediocre Pac-12 school does not make a trend. That's an outlier. Any school can have a D1 player if said player decides to attend there.

A team that loses by 2 touchdowns at home to a charter school team in its third year of existence and loses 62-0 to the 4,590th ranked team in the country (sorry FH fans but your team isn't good either)is not cranking out athletes to the next level.

Just stop with that.

There are kids playing at all levels of D1 and D3 football from Sidwell. There is an alum who is a rookie for the Arizona Cardinals. It isn't a powerhouse, but there is no reason to dump on kids who are having fun and getting a great education where some are using the sport to their advantage in the college admissions process.

Not a Sidwell parent but I am glad the school fields a team for what it teaches those willing to play. And the anti-Sidwell player who wants to argue about who they send to the pros is certifiable.

Can this thread be locked??? We have given the topic and the anti-Sidwell FH parent enough oxygen.

Yes. And there are three more MAC games to discuss. Can't wait to hear the excuses.

You have a weird infatuation with a third tier high school football team of a school your kid doesn't attend.

That is just strange.

The ineffectual defensive posts by Sidwell parents is stranger.

Calling you weird isn't defending Sidwell - it's just calling you weird.

Sidwell football and lacrosse are pitiful. No shock that they struggle with the manly sports.

Your post is very manly.
