Asking for Advice - Rejection from Oyster-Adams Preschool

I think a lawyer will be really helpful. The previous Principal lost his/her job for choosing who to accept. This one is doing the same thing but with different criteria. It will be not too long before someone with money chooses to do something about it.

Lies! The previous principal left on her own accord. She also accepted anyone who passed the Spanish test (nanny/daycare Spanish or not). I’m so glad Monica is gone!

My guess is that hiring a lawyer will be expensive and time-consuming but not unsuccessfully at all. If I can get a couple of parents to share the cost, it will be worthy. It is not about not liking the result PP, it is about not liking the process.

Ok. Maybe was not the previous one. I was told about one who accepted children of diplomas only and had to be stopped. I was referring to that one. But is not the point. The point is that we need a fair process in the face of preferential treatment for whatever reason.

Sorry, children of diplomats.

Was she the one who auctioned off movie night with the child molester? Or was that Mayra?

I don't know the name. It was not Mayra. I can ask the person who told me about this but there was a pattern and had to be broken.

Fake news--never happened.

But do post about how LAMB protected and covered up for their teacher who was a serial child molester FOR YEARS.

I disagree. My friend requested exam because he did not believe his son had failed and then threatened PP to hire a lawyer if not shown. Child was asked to join Oyster, no questions asked.

"I was told about one..."

You deal in rumor and innuendo like the rest of the posters, who are not Oyster parents, on this thread. You do NOT have any first hand knowledge of what's going on at Oyster, and your information is wrong.

But please hire a lawyer to get to the bottom of this "conspiracy," and waste your time and money.

Yes, 5 ways to get in: 1. Fluent Spanish speaker with 2 native Spanish speakers at home 2. Talk nicely to Berrocal or PP 3. Ask Berrocal or PP for a second chance (private interview in which they do whatever they want) 4. Get a teacher to help you. 5. Get a lawyer to uncover a few things of the internal process.

I don't believe you, but I'll bite. Was "your friend" a native Spanish speaker?

I'm an IB Oyster parent and I know two different families who were denied OOB Spanish-dom. admissions. The two families were not native speakers, but their children were pretty fluent after spending multiple years at full immersion Spanish preschools. Both children were denied, both families threatened to sue, and both children now attend other schools because they were still denied admission to Oyster. Maybe you'll get a different result (shrug).

People with money can just buy IB for OA. The people who can't afford to move IB cannot afford a lawyer that will take this case. But don't let logic stop you now.

To 12:56. There is no bigger "rumor and innuendo" that your exam. A bunch of personal questions and decisions. Anything verified there? No comment.

Lawyers do not get to the bottom of conspiracies but anyone/anything that can get you to make the process fair should be welcome, even by you. Some lawyers only charge if they win the case. Everything worthy is time well spent.
