MCPS Looking Into 'All-Gender' Bathrooms in Schools

Are you that dense? Let me break it down for you. I don't want my daughters to be in the same bathroom as boys because I don't want them to be in a situation where they can easily be teased, bullied, whistled at, crowed at, or God forbid- raped. Oh and let's not pretend that kids won't be using those private stalls in the unisex restrooms to do the nasty.

Maybe you've never seen one of these bathrooms? Actually I think that some of the elementary schools already have a similar lay-out. Private stalls for the toilets, sinks out in the open.

Teasing, bullying, etc. are problems in schools - in the current bathroom lay-out, in any possible alternative bathroom lay-out, and entirely independent of bathrooms altogether.

Yes and yes. I've seen and been to one of these bathrooms. I'm 45 so this isn't a new concept to me; but no I have not seen unisex bathrooms (private stalls or not) at a school and there's a reason why.. they're a bad idea!

+1 million. I cannot believe people are even thinking about this idea. How many times did I (and my daughter, I'm sure) ask a fellow woman in the common restroom area for a pad or tampon? Ask the woman in the stall next store for extra toilet paper? Stand in front of the sink trying to get blood out of pants so we could return to class? This happens all. the. time. Especially in middle and high school. Single stalls, even if the door is floor to ceiling, is not enough. I cannot believe there is even one woman who supports this idea.

She can still go to one of the many single sex bathrooms that will still exist in the school.

Also, rinsing blood out in the sink is gross. I'd recommend that be done in the nurse's office where she can ask for a Lysol wipe to clean it up afterwards.

So the girl should go to the nurse office to use the bathroom but they trans kid can't. Got it! Girls and women, you are second class citizens. Your rights matter less than a small minority. The liberal left needs you to fall in line and forgo your rights to bathroom safety and privacy for the greater good of a handful of people.

How is it that I can respect the Trans right to use our bathroom if they need to for privacy and safety but their community can't respect the girl's right to do the same and let us have bathrooms designated by sex not gender? Why? I support their decisions, why can't they support my cisgender daughter and other cisgender girls in same?

Ciswoman here with cisdaughters, and all of us have the heavy flow you describe. Dude, none of us TAKE OUR BLOODY UNDERPANTS TO THE SINK AND WASH THEM OUT. That is deeply unhygienic. Bring a spare pair if you need to, but if it's that bad, you should absolutely go to the nurses' office just like you would for any other blood flow situation because they are equipped to deal with them hygienically.

So thousands of girls should give up there rights for a few? Let's be clear here. Just say it! Go ahead! Women and girls are second class citizens and should shut the hell up.about our needs! It's all about virtue signalling and the latest SJW crusade.

I could really care less if you and your daughters are going to have a meltdown over this.

Grow the F up. This is only an issue if you make it an issue. Go be outraged over something else.

You go F yourself you misogynistic jerk. I will continue to be outraged on behalf of my daughter and girls everywhere. I will not be silenced by your hate. If women don't start standing up for themselves, we are doing the next generation of girls an extreme disservice. I will stand for young girls, their rights to privacy and safety and won't shut down by some screwed up zealot.

Why don't you apply that outrage to something important? Why are you working so hard to make this into an issue? What are your underlying motives?

Because the safety and privacy of girls at their schools IS important. Girls are not second class citizens and they have rights. I can think if no other issue more important for women today than protecting and expanding those rights which are under attack from both liberal SJW and conservatives on a daily basis. This is example A. How are you so obtuse that you can not see what is clearly happening here? Women are under attack.

I come from a long line of heavy bleeders. We go through multiple pads tampons in just one day. Sometimes we can just sit on a toilet while clots and blood gushes out. We are genetically built this way. Many times we bleed through our clothes and need a safe private sink to pull down our pants and try to clean up the blood so it is not so obvious when we walk out of the bathroom.

Where are my daighters rights as a new woman to be able to learn to care for herself? Where are my daughter's rights to do the same at her school in a safe environment? How is she going to do this surrounded by boys? She won't. She will be anxious scared and mortified. But to all of you, the girls rights don't matter. We have to spend millions and pander to a handful of trans kids who are welcome to use our bathroom any time they need it.

I hope this is a wake-up call to women and to parents of girls.

Hopefully your daughters don’t procreate. No need to keep this cesspool of genetic defects.

Finally an honest sexist misonginst who openly showcases his/her/their (pick your pronoun) hatred of women! Cause that is what is going on here. Women are being shut down. And if you don't comply with the trans liberal agenda you get called names and your daughter too.

Are you really that stupid? I am not ripping my underwear and pants off in public but I am trying to do damage control in the stall. Then I will have to emerge from said stall and dampen a paper towel with soap and water and go back into the stall to scrub my pants like crazy so the stain isn't so obvious to the public view. Then I will stuff my wet pants with tons of TP and paper towels so I can go out in public and hope to make it home to change.

Does it happen every time? No! But it happens. Imagine an inexperienced teen girl going through that in front of boys? If you don't get it, you don't have a heart.

And guess what my hands will have blood on them from said damage control. And guess what sink I have to use? The public one everyone uses! Or would you prefer I don't use the sink and just go around with my bloody hands touching everything in sight? Would that be better for you? I thought sinks were for cleaning and washing! My bad!!!

There, does the play by play satisfy you?

How about getting those proficiency scores above 50% first?

Start with detention for the parent(s).

So girls are supposed to emerge from stalls with blood on their hands and on their pants in full few of boys and their peers as they go to the sink to get supplies to further clean themselves up in the stall? Got it! Yep, no hatred or accomadations for young girls here! Suck it up girls, no one in MCPS cares about your feelings, your mental health or privacy because there might MIGHT be a cross gender in your school. They have Carte blanche on feelings and rights!
