That is what middle Israel wants (in the same talk Gantz says we he will keep the settlements in the settlement blocks, IE the ones close to the pre 1967 cease fire line, the so-called green line). But getting a deal with the Palestinians will not be easy.

The fact that so-called liberal american jews don't support meretz is very telling.

That's what I find interesting. Liberal jews are a lot more liberal in their politics for America but are relatively more conservative in their politics when it comes to israel.

Where's the consistency? Consistency would mean supporting meretz.
