It is when there's no evidence to support it. It's called a generalization - something you should have learned to avoid in 9th grade English. |
| Omar needs to own her stuff and stop acting like she doesn't fully intend to throw bombs with her incendiary comments. She knows what she's doing and then quickly plays the victim. She needs to stop playing dumb when the result draws negative reactions. She is an elected official, which means every word will be scrutinized, and she is fair game for political criticism. Though she thinks she deserves to be, she is not exempt because she's a Muslim. |

Meanwhile yesterday Bolsonaro said that the Holocaust was forgivible.
Where's the condemnation of Trump and cons about this? Does he get a pass because he's a right-wing dictator? |
This GenX'er is sick of the Baby Boomers and everything they have wrought on the world. As far as I am concerned, the sooner the better with this. |
l. He's not an elected American official. He's not an American at all. Is that the the new excuse when a Democrat reveals antisemitism, or when The Democrat Houss won't pass a resolution condemning antisemitism? LOok around the globe to find another antisemite, somewhere in the world, and ask why Republicans don't condemn him? |
Jerry Nadler represents the the district in which the World Trade Center is located. He has no issue with Omar's remarks:
|
So you don’t care that Trump loves and praises an anti-Semite because he’s not an American so it doesn’t matter? |
Of course he doesn't. Have you seen the walloping Democrats have gotten if they took issue, or failed to mention Omar's name in their tweets condemning those who speak out against her? Kirsten Gillibrand is done as a presidential candidate, if she wasn't already. Did you think people needed even more reason to disrespect Nadler after his behavior this week? |
I hardly think Nadler is concerned about a bunch of random Twitter users. He hasn't been shy about criticizing Omar in the past. Do you really think that Nadler would risk upsetting his own constituents -- you know, the folks who actually vote for or against him -- out of fear of criticism from social media users? Unlike a lot of the posters in this thread, Nadler actually understood what Omar was saying and is not engaging in manufactured outrage. |
I wish all of the MAGA idiots would read this. Really read it. |
Generalization of US population <> racism. |
You mean, unlike a lot of the posters in this thread, Nadler agrees with your opinion. |
Read what? His pointless jabs at Trump? If he has evidence of fraud, then he should present it. |
I was more focused on his opinion of her comments. Did you read that part? But yeah the small business thing is SOP lies/corruption for him. No surprise. |
When it's a global leader avidly supported by trump, it's a fair question. the left is honestly grappling with anti-semitism on the left, as well as the new realities of Israel. the right is cynically exploiting anti-semitism. it's pretty transparent. |
