Also, note the DB connection - Justice Kennedy's son was there and in the mix for these transactions. And Kennedy mysteriously and with surprise, retires suddenly to allow Trump to appoint someone who will hold him above the law.

So can Mueller use the NYT investigation to expedite his own investigation? Trump has now managed to appoint two Supreme Court Justices and what have we seen from Mueller? If he cannot intervene in time, what good does this investigation do for us in the end?

Mueller is an American first and has a long career as a public servant so please don't taint his reputation by bringing up his party affiliation. I am going to trust that he will issue his findings when he has finished his job. I just hope he realizes that if he waits too long, his findings might not see the light of day. It is hard for a public servant to do their job without fear or favor if political appointees are interfering with the process. The integrity of the process depends nearly entirely on Rosenstein, Wray and Sessions who all serve at the pleasure of the President.

Donald Trump was an active partner with his father in most if not all the fraudulent activities reported by these NYT investigators including tax fraud (illegally undervaluing properties with a criminal appraiser), greenmailing (illegally and conspiring to trade in securities), and real estate fraud to steal money from the US Government (probably HUD) by inflating expenses in the management of their rent control buildings - and then using these fake expenses to justify rent increases on their tenants.

Mueller can use the primary sources that the NYT showed for his investigation. He will have to reinvestigate but the NYT gave him a good road map. I have seen statements that Mueller knew all this quite a while ago.
