LAMB Lottery

Since LAMB is montessori, there are mixed classes (Pk3-K; 1-3; 4-5). At SD there are 5 primary (pk3-k) classes. Missouri has 2 or 3 I think.

Sorry it frustrates me that people sign up for Montessori having no clue what it entails and those who want it are stuck low on all the waitlists

PP here, that feeling makes perfect sense. We don't know that the OP even applied this year, though, let alone got in ahead of both of us (my kid is low-50's WL). So this is a good opportunity for some much-needed education re the Montessori model.

Also, while I share your frustration, no one promised us free Montessori just because we want it badly. In fact, pre-K funding is specifically targeted to kids who most help because their parents can't, won't or don't have access to other quality options.

Just some perspective you might want to consider. I find it helps to relieve the stress of this arbitrary process. And going by your mere presence and expertise here, your kid is going to thrive no matter what.

Tough crowd. I know how Montessori works and that they are mixed aged classrooms. I was using the term 'pk' loosely and know that encompasses pk3 pk4 and k, I just didn't think I needed to spell that all out in my post. So, maybe I should re-phrase it to how many 'mixed age' classes are at each campus?

Currently they have 3 classes at MO and 4 classes at SD
