Calling a racist deplorable is not the equivalent of calling Clinton a fat bitch. Merriam-Webster definition of deplorable: lamentable or deserving censure or contempt. I totally agree that racists and homophobes and misogynists are lamentable and deserving of censure.

NP. It was not a generalization. She was clear that the bigots of various types are deplorable. Now it is debatable whether that is half of Trump supporters or quarter of his supporters OR Three quarters.

You can think Trump supporters who are tired of insider corruption and lack of economic prosperity will see Hillary put half in a different basket, but that's not how people will look at that. Press has already labeled Trump voters as irredeemable, and by association, it makes HRC look very bad. The finer points of characteristics of the other half don't make it better.
